10/10 would recommend. Professor Rodrigo is awesome and everyone is supper supportive. This’s basically my second house since I’m there so much and once you start it’ll eventually be too (in a positive way). Definitely recommend for kids, teens, and any adult interested. The journey might be slow but it’s highly rewarding. Coming from someone who’s been there since 2023, this is a great school for beginners and someone who needs a new hobby, a third space, or just looking for community.

I’ve been training BJJ for 7 years at several different schools and I can honestly say this school is my favorite. The professors and coaches are attentive and professional. The school has high grade and well built mats and is always extremely clean. The facilities (bathrooms, showers and changing rooms) are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The training schedules are flexible and the classes are professional but not too rigid. I highly recommend this school to anyone starting their BJJ journey or those looking for a new school to call home.

Even though I trained at 2 gyms before this for a year, when I came to this gym I realized I did not know Jiu Jitsu at all. Professor Rodrigo and Professor Mike have improved my Jiu Jitsu exponentially in the couple years I’ve trained here. Everyone here is so kind and welcoming too. It always feels like family and always so much fun. I even trained during my pregnancy and felt completely comfortable and safe the whole time. I highly recommend joining this gym to anyone!

Jiu Jitsu was never on my radar until I met Professor Rodrigo. Professor Rodrigo was so kind and invited me to the complimentary class to try my hand at the sport/art. At 62 years old I consider Jiu Jitsu my prescription for good health. Do not fear this sport if you are a little past your prime. Regain your strength, health, confidence, and make some fantastic friends in the process. I most highly recommend Gracie Barra Seminole as the top tier Jiu Jitsu school around. As someone who values technical, detailed Jiu-Jitsu, I’ve been incredibly impressed with the instruction at Gracie Barra Seminole. Professors Rodrigo, John, and Mike are experts at breaking down complex positions into digestible steps, making their coaching highly effective for live rolling. The mats are always spotless, and there is a strong culture of respect among all training partners. The kids' program is equally phenomenal. My children have been training here for nearly two years, and the coaches strike the perfect balance between discipline and fun. It’s rare to find an academy where I can get a world-class workout while knowing my kids are developing genuine confidence and life skills in a safe environment. Whether you’re a serious practitioner or a parent looking for a great community, I can't recommend Gracie Barra Seminole enough.
