My son and I joined the dojo about six months ago, and it has been an incredible experience for our family. The Shihan (teacher) is incredible. The attention to detail and the Shihan’s ability to coordinate and guide students in a group setting really stand out. This experience has helped us build discipline, stay active, learn a new language, connect with a strong community, and develop new skills. It has quickly become one of our favorite family passions. I’ve seen major improvements in my son’s confidence, coordination, focus, strength, and communication. For me, this journey has allowed me to continue growing in martial arts — learning new techniques, refining what I already know, and having opportunities to teach and help lead classes. I’m excited for what’s still to come.

my kids started here in kinderkarate at 5 and 3, now 7 and nearly 5. It has been great for them in many ways and the teachers are excellent. The oldest is now in the kids class rather than kinder karate, and it is totally worth the extra time.

My family has been involved with this family-owned dojo (which just celebrated it's 40 year anniversary) for 4 years, with my husband and I studying karate together for a year and a half before enrolling two of our children in 'kinder karate' at the age of 4. I have been so impressed with the family-focused environment and the firm but kind instruction. Chiildren in this dojo are learning to care for and protect their minds and bodies while respecting each other, their elders, and their environment.
