Sasaki Judo

Since my boys started at Sasaki Judo, it’s been such an amazing experience for our family. The dojo has a warm, welcoming community, and the classes are thoughtfully designed to help every student grow and succeed. The instructors are incredibly patient and supportive while still pushing the students to do their best, which has really boosted both their skills and their confidence. My sons feel their judo has improved so much, and they love how the instructors break down techniques in detail — it helps everything click faster and shows up in their sparring. We’re so grateful and excited to be part of the Sasaki Judo family!

My husband and I had been wanting to start a Japanese martial art for a while, and for Christmas we decided our gift to each other would be to finally begin. After researching, we found one actually close to us called Sasaki Judo, which is the only Judo dojo in Florida that has Japanese instructors and decided to try their trial class. From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly welcoming and supportive of us new white belts. Even the other higher belted students were patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping us learn. Sensei Reiko and Sensei Shinjiro are absolutely amazing! They are so knowledgeable, approachable, and passionate about judo as are all the instructors there that we have worked with, Sensei Mike, Sensei David and Adam. After the trial class, we loved it so much that we signed up for the unlimited membership that same day. We truly enjoy the variety of classes offered, specifically No Gi Judo and Newaza, as well as a private class we took with Sensei Reiko to help us better understand Ukemi techniques. Not to mention the special events and opportunities to learn from professional guest instructors. If you’re interested in martial arts and Japanese culture, I can’t recommend this dojo enough. The experience, community, and opportunities here are truly invaluable.

I enrolled in adult clases at Sasaki Judo and it's been an incredible weekly workout. I have learned about the art of Judo and its practices. My children have also been a student here for years and have learned structure, disciple and patience through their practices. We love Sasaki Judo and will be with them for the years to come.

Sasaki Judo deserves every one of its five stars. The instructors are highly skilled, patient, and truly invested in helping each student improve, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced judoka. Training is challenging but always safe, with a strong focus on proper technique, discipline, and respect. The atmosphere is welcoming and supportive, and the sense of community here really stands out. Everyone trains hard while looking out for one another, which makes each class both effective and enjoyable. The dojo is clean, well-organized, and professionally run. If you’re looking for a place to learn authentic judo, build confidence, and train in a positive environment, this dojo is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it.

An amazing experience to train here. As a visitor to the dojo, this is one of the best Judo training experiences I've had. Sasaki Sensei is passionate about his art but also is an exceptionally observant and gifted communicator, despite English not being his first language: ideal qualities for a coach. His students were kind, respectful and helpful. Looking forward to revisiting and learning more. Hope all of his student's recognize how lucky they are to be able to train with such a high level Judo athlete.
