Dropped in for an open mat and had a great experience. Clean gym, good rolls, and everyone brought solid technique without any ego. Super welcoming crew and a place I’d definitely come back to when I’m in Orlando. Highly recommend.

I’ve always been curious about learning some form of self-defense, but most martial arts gyms felt a little intimidating to walk into. This place has been a completely different experience. The gym itself is incredibly clean and well organized, and the overall atmosphere feels more like a community than a typical fight gym. As a woman stepping into jiu-jitsu for the first time, I’ve felt genuinely welcomed and comfortable here. Everyone has been respectful, friendly, and supportive, without any pressure or ego. I also love that you can show up early, stretch, hydrate, chat with people, or just relax before class and nobody makes you feel out of place. It honestly feels more like a social club built around training than the stereotypical gritty martial arts gym. If you’ve ever wanted to try jiu-jitsu or learn self-defense but felt intimidated by traditional gyms, this is a really great place to start.

Stepping outside of your comfort zone is growth. The warm ups at OGC did just that. My first experience there was incredibly humbling. The vast array of multi-directional movements highlighted gaps in my mobility and range of motion that I’ve neglected. Honestly, the warm up alone set a new standard for the type of athlete I want to become. They are designed to prepare you for hard work. Hard work on the mats we all crave to pursue in this community. Beyond that, the detail-oriented instruction is refreshing and matches my learning style. The team has been incredibly welcoming and helpful. You can truly feel the balance of discipline and humility in the room. I am looking forward to my next experience!

I visited OGC for open mat and honestly can’t say enough great things about the experience. Upon arrival I was greeted by coach Levi who gave me a tour of the club and it’s many amenities from saunas, to cold plunges and showers with towel service. The first thing to know is this isn’t your typical BJJ gym- this place is a vibe. It’s the kind of place people who love grappling and martial arts in general would want to hang out in even when they’re not training. The people there are great, and the atmosphere is laidback, friendly, and clean- like immaculate. The club operates on an elevated standard from the aesthetic all the way down to the mat time. Not exaggerating, but even the playlist seemed to contribute to the general good vibes. All of this said, I would highly recommend the OGC to anyone looking for an elevated BJJ training experience in Central Florida, and I myself look forward to visiting again.

I’ve been to many gyms, but there hasn’t been one I would truly call home until I started training at Orlando Grappling Club. I first came in for an open mat and met Damian, the gym’s team captain. Training with him was an eye-opening experience. His level of skill, control, and understanding of jiu-jitsu immediately stood out. It became clear very quickly that his ability wasn’t accidental — it was the result of exceptional coaching. That’s when I met Coach Levi. After experiencing Levi’s class structure and teaching style firsthand, it all clicked. There truly is nothing else like it. Every part of class has intention — even the warm-ups. Every movement has meaning and directly translates to better technique, efficiency, and understanding on the mats. Since training here, my skills, knowledge, confidence, passion, and willpower have improved exponentially. The gym itself is unlike any other I’ve seen in the state of Florida. The mats are always clean and meticulously sanitized. There’s a foot wash that everyone uses before stepping on the mat — which speaks volumes about the culture and standards here. The locker rooms and showers are clean, sanitized regularly, and towel service is provided. The facility is kept cool, comfortable, and welcoming. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the environment. Every member here is genuinely good-hearted. Coach Levi truly cares about each individual, and that care shows daily. This gym feels like a family — but one that is incredibly welcoming to newcomers and always looking to grow. On top of that, the amenities are unmatched: cold plunges, a sauna, a lounge area where high-level grappling matches are always playing, and a space where members sit together to talk, analyze, and learn from the sport we love. It’s a place where growth happens both on and off the mats. Orlando Grappling Club isn’t just a gym — it’s a community, a standard, and a home. If you’re serious about jiu-jitsu and want to be part of something special, this is the place.
