Great experience for kids Jd teach not just self defense, also values, friendship and respect for others. My 3 kids started and they love it. Is like having a brotherhood where big brothers take care little ones. I have learned from the classes too. Thank you JD.

Their class schedule is packed with options, making it easy to find something that fits any routine. Coach JD Lopez is phenomenal, especially with the kids. As a fellow black belt, it was crucial for me to find a place where my daughter could train safely and grow in the art. I fully trust JD and his team with her development. If you’re in the Longwood or Altamonte Springs area, I highly recommend United Legion for both kids and adult classes.

I brought my son to drop in as we are visiting family. The Website was very helpful providing schedule class times and open mat times. It has a great space very clean and bright. JD Lopez the owner and instructor was very helpful and thorough. My son enjoyed the class. The other athletes were very nice.

Our 4 years old son has been attending classes with sensei JD, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. This is actually the second jiu-jitsu gym we’ve tried, and he absolutely loves this one so much more. The environment is positive, structured. Our son stays engaged the entire class and is learning so much not just technique, but confidence and discipline, too. Sensei JD is patient, encouraging, and truly amazing with the kids. I love this place. I’m 58yo and had a 6 year gap in BJJ training. United Legion is a perfect fit- the atmosphere is so supportive, fun, and safe. You can really feel the shared joy and respect among the whole group. JD is a tremendous and patient instructor…always taking time to clarify the small details that make BJJ such a fascinating art. He has a real gift for articulating the fine points to all levels of students. I’m excited to be back in such a fun and supportive environment. The class schedule is also much more convenient than what I saw at other schools…so I feel like I can always get my training in, even when things get busy at work and at home.
