Carrollwood Black Belt Academy

My child has been attending Carrollwood Black Belt for the last 2.5 years and he has really enjoyed learning karate. Sensei has a great group of instructors who keep the kids engaged and eager to learn. The after school program is reliable and provides me with peace of mind that my child has a great place to go to while I am at work.

My son got his blackbelt from here a year ago at age 19. He started attending when he was 4. Chosing the family at Carrollwood Black Belt to be a part of my son's life is one of the best decisions I made raising him. I can't say enough good things about CBB and the family that runs it. My heart will always be with them!

My daughters have attended Carrollwood Black Bell Academy for several years now and I can safely say that there is no one better than them. I got tired of visiting other places before and I met several teachers but I never felt that security and chemistry that I felt with them. They instill respect and discipline in the children and take care of them as much as we do as parents. Sensei Miranda is an exceptional teacher. He has a very good relationship with his children and knows how to handle each problem and situation with the best discretion possible. And the best thing he has is the affection with which he treats them. Honestly, a review and 5 stars are not enough because for me they are giving me the peace of mind that I need as a mother knowing that while they are not with me they cannot be better cared for. I thank them very much and I hope that my daughters continue to enjoy their academy for many more years🤗

My son has been attending Sensei Miranda’s Carrollwood Blackbelt Academy for 8 years and my daughter for the last year. Sensei Miranda teaches the students respect and discipline, leading by example. He makes sure the students earn their success in the class by teaching them the correct way and ensuring they do their forms correctly. The students are very diverse and everyone is treated with respect and care. If there is ever an issue with a student, he handles it in a private and mature manner between parents and students alike. I am so grateful for Sensei Miranda, Sensei Lay, and all of the staff here. They are like family. This is the only place in Tampa I trust with my kids.

Thank you so much sensei Miranda, and all of the coaches and teachers here!! My two sons absolutely love coming to your school for karate class, after school care and summer camp. They have been attending classes for the last 3 years. You offer such a great program and we can truly see how much you care for them! It was not easy to find somewhere that could help my special-needs son with his issues. You have done absolutely an amazing job with him. I see such a big difference from the time he started here at the school to now! Keep up the great work!! This is one mom that will recommend you to all!!
