This place is awesome. 4 of my children started in the kids program and are now in the adult program. Professor Carra is a world-class instructor and person, and the culture he has built is extremely welcoming to all ages and levels of athletic ability. Come watch a class to see for yourself.

Great school for all levels, and ages. My son and I have been training here for around 5 months. We love professor Mauricio, he is extremely knowledgeable and everyone there treats each other like family. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn or continue to grow on their brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey.

I must say, this is by far one of the best Bjj establishments you’ll come across in our area. With a strong sense of work ethic and pride by the owner and lead instructor Mauricio C., the support of all other coaches, and the family atmosphere which they foster, you are home at last. They offer a variety of programs for kids at all ages to adults at incredible affordable rates. The camaraderie among all of the students and coaches promote a unique learning environment where we all learn and grow to be a better person than we were yesterday. I have said this before and I’ll say it again, Checkmat Riverview is my 2nd home away from home.

After training with professor for over 4 years now, I constantly appreciate the time and effort he makes to help new and old students. The environment in the gym is welcoming, and the lessons are world class. I can’t see myself training anywhere else, and recommend this gym to literally everyone I know.
