Gracie Barra - Jiu Jitsu in Tampa

My family and I are Loving Gracie Barra !!!! It’s helping my kids in so many ways. I love how they teach discipline, respect while having so much fun and exercising. The coaches are AMAZING and it’s such a family friendly place. I 100%recommend this place!

Gracie Barra is like family! My almost 5-year-old boy started Jiu-Jitsu at the Citrus Park location a few months ago, and he is loving it! He is a very high-energy little kid, and his uncontainable enthusiasm often leads him to get distracted or overexcited, and redirecting him takes quite a bit of patience. Well, Ivan, his instructor, is incredible with kids like mine! Gentle yet firm, always ready to joke around and keep them entertained, but also quick to reestablish order, respectfully and politely, when those little tornadoes start being a little too wild. You can absolutely tell that both Ivan and Camila truly have a passion for teaching and training kids to become the best version of themselves. If you are looking for a physical activity for your young children that helps them burn energy, acquire discipline and focus (and, of course, learn how to defend themselves!), this is the right place for you! Everyone here is super nice and professional. Recommended 100%!!

Training at this jiu-jitsu school has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. The environment is welcoming, respectful, and fully focused on growth — both physical and personal — not just for me, but also for my children who train here as well. Professor Ivan is exceptional! He combines solid technique with clear and motivating instruction. Always attentive to detail, he knows how to adapt the training to each person’s (or child’s) level, helping everyone progress in a consistent and safe way. In addition to him, the team members Eduardo and Camila also deserve recognition. Eduardo is always present and ready to help with all the administrative and behind-the-scenes work, bringing both knowledge and dedication. Gracie Barra Citrus Park is an amazing place to train! The professor Ivan is very professional and knowledgeable, and the whole team is super friendly and welcoming. The gym is always clean, well-organized, and has a great atmosphere. Definitely one of the best places to train Jiu Jitsu.

Hands down the best BJJ academy in Tampa. Starting with Eduardo at the front to instructors Ivan and Camila. The kids class here is amazing. They make it fun and entertaining. They make you feel like you are part of a big family. We couldn’t be happier!
