Ian and Kaycie were amazing Jiu Jitsu partners. I was visiting from out of town and they made my stay amazing. I enjoyed watching Professor Ian working with the kids class and would recommend anyone interested in training try Gulfside Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Easy to find right off US-19, Gulfside BJJ is a clean, welcoming academy in a cozy, local neighborhood. Gulfside’s vibe is simple, aesthetically beautiful, and modest. I’ve known Ian and Ryan since I was a white belt, both hailing from the prestigious lineage of multiple-time world champion and IBJJF Hall of Famer Robson Moura. Ian’s taught me sweeps, set ups, and variations from a sticky kimura guard, plus the bread cutter choke sequence and more. Over the years, Ryan has also been huge help to me in translating my wrestling skills to jiu-jitsu. The culture is what you want, too. People are respectful, classes are structured, and the facility’s impeccable clean. The environment’s competitive without being macho. They’ve been warm-hearted, honest, and consistently helpful leaders to me since I started. They’re a special, perfect balance of instructors for any level and any age. If you’re in Pasco County, this is the school I recommend.

Whenever I'm in town, I will not hesitate to stop into Gulfside Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Ian and Ryan are dedicated practitioners of the art and provide incredibly technical instruction. Their new facility is beautiful, lots of mat space and a very clean environment. This is a great Robson Moura affiliate! Highly recommend!

I have been fortunate enough to see Ian compete, train and teach over the past several years and all have been impressive experiences.
