This is by far one of the best gyms that I've been to so far. I must say that the gym is clean, staff is respectful & courteous, the equipment is in good condition & well maintained. This is the perfect gym if you're training either powerlifting or bodybuilding. In addition to that, from the pictures bellow, the gym has a sauna, a care center for kids while you workout & also personalize training for young athletes (TRENCH), cardioequipment as well as a couple of sandbags & a boxing/MMA ring in the event you fail your a PR & need to let off some steam. Pricing wise, I would say that it is reasonable given all that they're offering. I should also mention that the calibrated plates showed belongs to another gym that also trains there, thus they're off-limit for safety reasons. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone traveling to the area. It's judgment & intimidation free. Give it a try, stay fit & healthy while in the area.

This is a great gym and I really enjoy coming here! I’d give it a 4.5! The atmosphere is usually very uplifting and everyone is usually very nice! The equipment is well maintained. I think the only thing to mention is the amount of videoing and tripods. It is very much an influencer gym in a lot of ways but usually people are very respectful about keeping you out of the videos.

Best gym in Tampa by far. When I first moved to Tampa, I had access to Gym Pass which allowed me to trial most gyms in town. No other gym comes remotely close to PGAC. Whether you train for a sport/athletics, powerlifting, or body-building there is endless high quality equipment. I come at 5pm after work and the equipment I need is always available, you won't find that anywhere else. Lastly, every single staff member has always been incredibly friendly, from the owner, the front desk staff, the trainers, and the other gym members!

Good gym, good old school vibes, but the equipment is nothing special. they have some good leg machines and plenty of squat racks. Dumbbells have a nice weight distribution but some machines are nothing better than you would get at an LA or Crunch. Leg extension machines are some of the worst i’ve used. Can get a little busy during peak hours, especially since there are not many cable stations. Overall good but not amazing.

I was a member at Powerhouse for 2 years but canceled my membership a couple months ago due to reprehensible behavior by an employee. On Sunday, October 5th I was doing deadlifts on one of the platforms and a little man who works there to tidy up and rack weights walked right up next to me fidgeting around in my personal space while I’m actually in the middle of a set. When I finished the set I told him that he can’t be that close to me while in the middle of my set. He made a mocking gesture with his face and continued to walk around the platform pointing at me and making funny faces mocking me. I’d noticed unusual behavior with him the previous week getting in my personal space despite the gym being nearly empty. Ladies and gentlemen, the one thing you Never do in a gym is get in someone’s personal space with they are doing deadlifts or squats. With that said , I’m calling for the resignation of this employee. He appears to be older, (50-65ish), glasses, short and possibly Latino. He wears black latex gloves and walks around doing a bunch of nothing.
