I moved to Georgia six months ago, and my first priority was finding the perfect jujutsu Academy. I had scoped out several in the area and planned on visiting all before making a decision. My first day I met Professor Rodrigo, Matt, and the rest of the crew and I absolutely knew that this was going to be my life long school. The environment is great, the mats are great and the facilities are great, but most importantly the culture is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone. you will be safe there and you’ll be part of something life-changing with fantastic people. If I had a young child, this would absolutely be where they would train. It’s safe, fun, disciplined, and very family oriented.

I trained on and off last year, more off than on but every time I left the gym I had an extreme sense of accomplishment. I felt like a had purpose just being there to train. Unfortunately real life ruined all fun. Work was just more important. Coach is amazing you can tell he really loves BJJ. He wants to teach you the right way and he is very detail oriented. The owners are also amazing people. The real shining stars are the people who train there regularly. Holy smokes what a nice group of people. They are a stunning example of the coaching there. Even with my extremely busy schedule, I still tried to make it at least once a month and I recommend you do too. It’ll change your life.

I can speak about this school both as a parent of a child who trains here and as an intermediate BJJ practitioner with over 15 years of experience, having had the privilege of training at and visiting numerous academies. This school is exceptionally well organized and professionally run, with a fantastic mat culture and a welcoming environment for both kids and adults. The instruction is thorough, the techniques are practical and relevant, and the curriculum includes both gi and no-gi classes. Training partners are genuinely supportive and focused on mutual improvement, creating an atmosphere where everyone can make steady, meaningful progress. Rodrigo is a legitimate Alliance black belt with many years of experience on the mat and a deep, nuanced understanding of both competition training and the needs of hobbyist practitioners. Coach Rachel has been fantastic in her contribution to the women’s and kids’ programs. She creates an incredibly welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable, supported, and included. Highly recommend this academy for the entire family. It’s an outstanding place to train safely, stay in shape, develop effective self-defense skills, and build confidence.

Our 5-year-old son trains at Alliance BJJ Roswell, and we could not be happier with the experience. Professor Rodrigo and Coach Rachel are absolutely phenomenal with the kids. They strike the perfect balance between discipline, encouragement, and fun. Since starting, we’ve seen tremendous growth in our son—not just in his Jiu Jitsu skills, but in his confidence, focus, and leadership. He loves competing and is constantly motivated to improve. What we appreciate most is how the coaches foster a positive class environment. Our son genuinely enjoys his classmates and takes pride in helping others get better. Alliance BJJ Roswell is more than just a gym—it’s a place where kids grow on and off the mats. We’re incredibly grateful for Professor Rodrigo and Coach Rachel and highly recommend this academy to any parent looking for a supportive, structured, and empowering environment for their child.

The gym has a wonderful environment everyone there is amazing! The gym is always clean, and the classes are great. They really teach you and get you hooked. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and truly care about helping each student improve, no matter their skill level. The atmosphere is welcoming and motivating, making it a great place for beginners and those that are more experienced. You feel challenged but supported every time you step on the mats.
