HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Black Knight is an amazing resource for parents seeking martial arts training for their children. Mr. Hung is such a great instructor, very patient and he explains the moves in ways the young ones can understand. I was nervous about starting in a program with Covid but the space is large with enough room to spread out and they are diligent about face coverings. Master Nils is very friendly, and even allowed us to host a birthday party there with a private lesson. It was a hit! So glad we found a place my child enjoys and wants to come back to.

Black Knight is the Martial Arts School that I didn’t know I needed and am extremely glad that I found. Nils Onsager has established a culture focused on self-awareness and improvement that is reflected in every class and extends into our daily lives. Since joining the school in October 2016, I have become much more intentional about my development. As result, I have seen physical improvements including regained flexibility, increased muscle definition and losing over 30lbs. Additionally, being in the presence of other achievers motivated me to apply for a very competitive Masters Degree program in Financial Engineering. I have since been accepted and began taking classes in January. I didn’t think I would be studying either area of focus (Hapkido or Grad Level Finance) at nearly 40yrs old with two children and a full-time career. But, being in class with fellow students ranging from age 18 to 75, has given me renewed understanding of how irrelevant age is. If you’ve ever thought, I should consider looking into a martial art, I strongly recommend that you come check us out.

Both our kids are going to Black Knights and they love it! We love it! The instructors are excellent, rigorous but approachable, they set high expectations for the kids and work even harder with them to make sure they can reach these expectations. Not only is this great physical activity, they teach very valuable self-defense skills. I guess the biggest compliment we can give is that our daughter dropped ballet so she could spend more time at Hapkido!

Fantastic place to learn self defense. I have been involved in the martial arts for a very long time and I know what to look for in a good quality school. Black Knight met my requirements when looking for a place to continue my education and continues to impress me with their overall demeanor. If you are a beginner, this is the place for you! If you are an old, grizzled, burnt out martial artist that wants to try something new and be challenged, this place is still for you. Trust.
