I visited a jiu jitsu open mat at Creighton. The coaches and students were very nice and welcoming! They were good training partners with all skill/belt levels. They have a good mix of competitions and hobbyists so while it’s a skilled mat, it’s not intimidating to join! Thank you Creighton for a great open mat! This was a nogi class but they also train gi and MMA. They have clean bathrooms, locker rooms, a shower, and a water fountain.

Creighton MMA is truly exceptional. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this is more than just a martial arts gym—it’s a positive, growth-focused community that genuinely cares about kids and families. The environment they’ve created has been incredibly beneficial for my son Johnny, not only physically, but socially and emotionally as well. The instructors are outstanding—highly knowledgeable in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, patient, and deeply invested in the kids. You can tell they truly love working with children and take pride in building them up from the ground up, helping them grow into more confident, disciplined, and resilient versions of themselves. The personal attention and encouragement Johnny receives has made a noticeable difference in his confidence, self-control, and the way he engages with others both on and off the mats. One of the things I appreciate most is how they teach mixed martial arts in a way that is safe, structured, and fun. The kids learn real technique while also learning how to roll respectfully, problem-solve, and work as a team. You can see the growth not just in their skills, but in their character. The sense of community at Creighton MMA is amazing. Johnny has formed real friendships, and we’ve had the pleasure of connecting with so many wonderful families. It feels welcoming, supportive, and inclusive every single time we’re there. The facility itself is spotless, modern, and extremely well designed. It’s clean, nicely appointed, and has a multi-dimensional layout that makes observation easy, comfortable, and enjoyable for parents. They offer both gi and no-gi training days, flexible class schedules, and a professional environment that reflects the high standards they set for their program. If you’re looking for a top-tier MMA gym that excels in BJJ training, character development, confidence building, and community, Creighton MMA sets the standard. We are so grateful to be part of such an incredible program and highly recommend it to any family looking for a safe, clean, and empowering environment for their children.

I moved up to Gwinnett from the southside for work and had to find a new home gym. I'm so glad that I had friends refer me to Creighton! The instruction is top notch and they have created a really wonderful culture. It is warm and welcoming while still being a place where you can come in to get super tough rounds. A great environment for both hobbyists and regular competitors. Excellent kids program as well. Couldn't recommend enough!

My 10-year-old son trains at Creighton MMA and absolutely loves it. He looks forward to coming to class, which says a lot. The instructors are knowledgeable and very supportive, while still pushing the kids to challenge themselves. They do an excellent job of keeping the classes fun and structured so the kids are learning real skills while enjoying themselves. It’s a great environment for kids to build confidence, discipline, and fitness. I highly recommend Creighton MMA for children of all levels.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed, supported, and inspired. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable—not just high-level practitioners, but gifted teachers who break down techniques in a way that makes everything click. They create an environment where beginners feel comfortable and advanced students feel challenged. The culture here is what truly sets the gym apart. Everyone on the mats is respectful, friendly, and eager to help each other improve. You can feel the sense of community as soon as class starts. Whether you’re rolling, drilling, or asking questions, there’s always someone willing to share insights or guide you. The training itself is top-notch. Classes are well-structured, the warm-ups are purposeful, and the technique sessions are detailed and practical. Sparring rounds are tough in the best way—competitive but safe, with partners who push you while taking care of you. Clean facilities, great energy, and a team that genuinely cares about your progression. If you’re looking for a gym to level up your jiu-jitsu, surround yourself with good people, and actually enjoy every session, this is the place. Highly recommended!
