I've been going to Fit to Fight for about 5 years now. I wanted to learn effective self defense, and the moment I tried out a class, I was hooked. It makes me feel better walking around the city on my own, and I've made lifelong friends while learning to protect myself. The coaches are knowledgeable and kind, and work to make a supportive yet challenging atmosphere where everyone and anyone is welcome. I think you can try a class for free, so there's no harm in checking it out!

This class has really taught me how to defend myself against attackers that praise on men and women. I’ve learned a lot about how to dodge a knife in many ways. It was a fun class and I highly recommend you come and learn self defense. 👍🏾

I’ve been training at FTF Atlanta for a year now and I can proudly say I’ve been loving it. Before COVID, I was there 5-6 days a week. Even now they are offering both in person and Zoom classes, I appreciate I have an opportunity to continue my training while feeling safe. All of the instructors are not only super knowledgeable but they are KIND and SUPPORTIVE and make class FUN. They know every persons name and the environment is super safe aka I feel comfortable fighting someone my size as well as someone thrice my size. As a 20 something year old living in the city on my own, I decided to train in order to defend myself. I thought it was going to be something I will randomly attend when I could. Now I’m addicted. I feel strong! I feel empowered! All thanks to the awesome team at FTF ATL. 💓

Lots of fun when you have a moment to catch your breath and take it all in. 1 hours class usually will wear me out pretty well. Good cardio and strength building combined plus you also get to learn self defense in the process! I have had gym memberships before and stopped going soon after as is typical. Of course with those you keep paying and even when you are out of contract it takes an act of congress to cancel your membership. At the last one I had to call and have a form emailed to me which I had to then fill out physically mail back... Like with a stamp... Just to cancel. At fit to fight I can go as often as I want to their classes and have been going consistently for 3 months and you just pay as you go. $85 per month. If you stop going you stop paying no fuss... Of course you will want to keep going. :)

I can’t say anything about their Judo class, Josh is an expert. But their bjj coach Joe is not the best teacher: he gets frustrated if you don’t understand and has no patience for newer students, there is no set curriculum so if you’re just starting out it’s just whatever he feels like working on today no matter how complex the move is, he cancels classes when he feels like it and what made me leave was that he took no responsibility for hurting me when I was his student. I’ve learned more bjj in a month from a Gracie CTC than I did in 2 months training there. Now a year and a half after training at Fit to Fight or Fight The Fear after their rebranding i’m a blue a blue belt at the Gracie Academy. Would recommend this school for Judo, maybe krav, but not BJJ.
