This is an amazing Jiu-Jitsu and Judo gym. All the instructors are top-notch and the culture is supportive and encouraging. My whole family attends classes and I love watching my kids develop their skills and self-confidence. I love the adult classes as well. Spartak has my highest recommendation.

Used to train here. I miss it, the coaches are super nice and hard on you. Only for you to learn though, this is not a dojo where you go to a few classes and get a belt instantly. This is a gym where you have to be consistent to be good.

As a beginner in Judo at 24 with no prior experience in martial arts, the environment was very welcoming and the teachers very patient, knowledgeable, and straightforward. I could tell Carl (the Monday night Judo teacher) was very passionate and if I asked a question he would would be excited to answer even if it was adjacent to the lesson. Judo was less populated than some of the other arts which seemed very popular, but there was still a good mix of different experience levels in Judo anyway. I highly recommend from the viewpoint of a beginner but I know that my more experienced classmates love SPARTAK as well. Thank you Iskra!

I am really glad that my children could be part of the Spartak Sports Club. This club is not just about sports – it has strong values and teaches important skills. The coaches truly care and put their hearts into every training. They are very kind, easy to talk to, and always ready to help with any questions. The location is also perfect, which makes visiting the club very comfortable. I will always remember our time here with warm feelings.

Come here if you have 0 experience. Come here if you have 100 years experience. Come here if you’re new. Come here if you’re a titan. I saw all ages, all belts and experience levels welcome here, so just come. This is gym still demonstrates the heart of jiu jitsu, where training is about learning and bettering yourself and where your training partners are not out to make every roll an ADCC competition. Professor Pawel and his team of black belts are friendly, provide solid technique and keep a careful eye on students. No rogue white belts here. Let me tell you my story. I was visiting from out of town, looking for a place for my kid to practice before his big competition. Most other schools would’ve scoffed at the idea of allowing us to attend a class, but not Professor Pawel. He welcomed us, and treated my kid as if he’s always been one of his students. The black belts went around the room and greeted all the students. The students bowed and also showed great respect. We had an excellent class. The gym is bright, and the mats are nice and clean. The facility is kept in excellent condition. This school trains jiu jitsu as well as judo. For those who are new to the concept, this is a powerful combination that you can’t easily find. If you attend, it’s like getting a 2-for-1 deal. My advice as someone who has been to a lot of schools, especially out of state, stop by and try Spartak first.
