reviewsWhat Members Say
Members consistently praise the knowledgeable and experienced instructors who provide individual attention during group lessons. Parents highlight the family-friendly environment, with many noting how their children look forward to classes in programs like Little Ninjas. Several members report significant physical benefits, including improved flexibility and relief from chronic joint pain, while others appreciate the opportunity to bond with family members through training together. One negative review raised concerns about communication and fairness in disciplinary decisions for a child with disabilities, though this appears to be an isolated incident among overwhelmingly positive feedback.

We love Dragon Fire Martial Arts. Both of my boys have been coming here for the past couple of years. I love that they have a program for kids. My boys were 4 and 5 years old when they started. Prices are reasonable and instructors are knowledgeable and great.

The instructors are so amazing with the kids and I love that you can sit outside the room and watch the kids during class! I HIGHLY recommend DragonFire Martial Arts for anyone at any level! My son and I train at DragonFire Martial Arts. He started with the Little Ninjas program, then worked his way up the kids class. After spectating as a parent and seeing some other parents in the family classes, I decided to begin my martial arts journey as a middle aged white belt. Now, we are able to train together in the family and adult classes. The classes are offered nearly every night of the week plus Saturdays, making it easy to find days that fit our schedule. The classes are taught by knowledgeable, experienced instructors who take time with each student for individual instruction during the group lessons. Instructors are also available for individual feedback during weekly open Do Jang training sessions. I highly recommend Tang Soo Do at DragonFire Martial Arts for both children and adults. The benefits have been great! For my son, the structure of the classes and physical activity have been a great addition to his routine. He’s learning skills for self defense, but also learning lessons that will aid in his personal development. For me, after a year of training about three times a week, my chronic joint pain is all but gone; no more daily doses of acetaminophen and ibuprofen for me! My flexibility is improving and most importantly it has provided an opportunity to bond over something my son is passionate about.

We attended Dragon Fire for years, but left due to my son being treated unfairly. He has multiple disabilities among which are autism, ADHD & a speech and language disorder. He has two incidents at school, not at Dragon Fire, with another kid who attended Dragon Fire. The incidents were a direct result of my child’s disability. The other child’s parents called the instructors and tattled on my son, placing the blame solely on my child, despite their child instigating both incidents. Based only on this information, my child was denied the ability to test for a black belt and removed from the student leadership program. The instructors never once spoke to me before making these decisions. They did ask my son and because he offered no explanation they just took the other parent’s word. My child has a language disorder! Of course he wasn’t going to offer additional explanations!! They invited other children to test without even checking on their behavior at school, and I’ve personally seen both of those kids misbehave at the dojang. But that didn’t matter. I also witnessed the allowing students to pass from one belt to another when they clearly weren’t ready, but the parent complained and was friends with the instructor so they allowed the kid to advance. I do not recommend this facility!!
