Professor Scott knows how to teach you Jiu Jitsu. This means if you show up and apply yourself, you’ll get to learn and enjoy Jiu Jitsu. It’s tremendously fun with a great facility. Seriously, there was no cost spared on the mat area. It’s sooooo nice. South East Boise had no options for Jiu Jitsu and parents have an option for their kids. This is a safe, clean, and positive academy. I would be happy letting my kids train here given they were older. If you’re at all curious, fill out the form of the website. That’s what I did and Professor Scott called me and we had a great conversation. For confidence, sport, weight loss or a personal challenge, Jiu Jitsu is worth doing and this is a great place to do it at.

If you are looking for a school that would teach your kids JJ in a professional and structured, but still friendly manner, this is the place to be. Instructors are great! This school provides a perfect balance in between discipline and fun. Parents can feel very comfortable there too. Everyone is so kind and friendly. No weird contracts and long-term commitments that you have in most of martial art schools. If you want, they will motivate your kids to stay, but there is no uncomfortable pressure, in case this turns out not to be your kid’s thing. 5 stars!

Great class tonight at Gracie Barra Southeast Boise. One of the best Mats i have trained on. Professor Scott and Professor Eddie were very welcoming and great to meet. If your in the area, go by check them out and start your Jiu Jitsu Journey. Check out thier website schedule and see what works for you. The techniques taught are top notch with a professor that's been training and teaching for a long time. I will be back everytime I visit Boise.

Professor Scott Carr is an awesome BJJ teacher, and the community he has built at SE Boise Gracie Barra is testament to both his character and competence. I walked into the gym 15 minutes before a weekday adults class at 39-years old with zero experience in any combat sport -- zero athletic ability of any kind, truly -- and was immediately welcomed onto the mat by both instructors and teammates. No matter your ability, experience or goals there is a place for you at GB SE Boise. You'll become fitter, gain confidence, increase skills, and meet an interesting mix of people united by a commitment to personal growth through jiu jitsu.
