I’ve been training at Mushin for about a year after moving to Boise from Iowa. I’ve been doing judo for 40 years and have done judo all over the place. The instructors Josh and Ben are very knowledgeable and effective teachers and even more importantly they are both very kind and friendly people. Mushin is an excellent place to learn judo.

I’ve been attending classes here since the start of this year, and transferred after a semester of Judo at Boise State. My experience here has been overwhelmingly positive, despite my extremely unimpressive stature and comparative lack of experience. The instructors and more experienced students are all very friendly and patient, leading to a very safe environment to practice and learn Judo. If you’re looking to get into martial arts, but are intimidated at the prospect, this is the perfect place to start.
