I came into Benjilany striking, nervous at first but when i got there everybody was super welcoming and kind. Here they have made such a great and caring community of people. Every single coach here really takes their time to help you perfect your technique. Everyone is always encouraged to be clean and wipe down whatever you used and to clean your equipment. They make sure that everyone feels safe and comfortable. I truly love this gym and training here has been one of the best decisions i’ve ever made in my life.

This is literally the best striking gym you can find and if you live in Chicago - consider you’re self very lucky to have this in the area. Adil is such a nice and welcoming person and that resonates with the rest of the coaching staff and the rest of the team that is part of the gym. It took me 10-12 sessions to fall in love with the Muay Thai striking and was so excited to continue the classes. The schedule is easy and intuitive and you can choose what works best for your schedule. Jimmy, Kaleb are also excellent coaches. If you’re thinking about a striking / mma gym - don’t think twice.

Benji Striking is one of the best martial arts studios in the city of Chicago. The owner Adil is a world champion and I couldn’t have put my kids in better hands to start early with their development. Pro Coaches Jimmy & Emma also work directly with my kids; they both are amazing with kids. If you are looking for a kids class I highly recommend…take it from me (also a world champion)…I wouldnt put my kids in nothing but the best

Almost a year and a half ago, I was desperate to get out of the house since I was done playing a sport I’d played for sixteen years and no longer had much to keep me busy besides school in the fall and spring. My dad recommended Benjilany’s after hearing great things from a few friends, so I signed up for a trial class. I didn’t have much training at all, except for some basics I was taught as a kid that I hadn’t really kept up with, so I was pretty nervous. However, I had no reason to be, as the staff and other students were incredibly welcoming—despite my shyness. It felt great to be learning something new and being surrounded by other students who shared similar goals, as well as those who were more focused on training to compete. When I went out of state to finish my last year of school, I struggled to keep a consistent/existent workout routine and stay on top of my physical health. When I returned and wanted to ease into things by going twice a week, the instructors here were more than willing to meet me where I was at. The past few months have been great. Now I want to go as much as I possibly can! One of my favorite things about Benjilany’s Striking is that each instructor integrates their unique style and personality into every lesson. All of them are incredibly knowledgeable and encouraging, meeting you where you’re at—while still managing to push you to be better when they know you’re capable. They are quite diligent in fostering a sense of community within their team and being involved in the community. The other students are incredibly supportive of each other and are even willing to offer their advice to sharpen your skills when appropriate, which is something I had really missed after completing my college career. The variety of classes is excellent and very accommodating for those with more demanding schedules. The facility itself is the cleanest I’ve seen, and all of the instructors really emphasize the importance of hygiene for their students as well.

Benjilany striking is more than just a place to train, it’s truly a family. From the moment you walk in, everyone treats you with respect, encouragement, and genuine kindness. Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced fighter, the coaches and members make you feel welcome and supported every step of the way. Led by some of the best coaches around, the training itself is top-notch. It is a perfect balance of technique and conditioning. But what really sets this gym apart is the atmosphere. There’s no ego here, just people helping each other improve and grow. You leave every class feeling stronger, both physically and mentally. If you’re looking for a gym that pushes you while surrounding you with an incredible community, this is the place. Couldn’t recommend it more! 🥊💪 (they also offer kids classes!)
