My two kids have been training here for many years. My wife and I have also trained there. The instructors are not only highly skilled in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but also incredibly patient and nurturing with the children. They create an environment where kids feel safe, motivated, and eager to learn. My kids have not only developed valuable self-defense skills but have also gained self-confidence and discipline. One of the things that truly sets this gym apart is the sense of community. They foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where families come together, and lifelong friendships are formed. It's not just a place to train; it's a place to belong. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's not just a gym; it's a place where kids can thrive and become their best selves.

This place is absolutely amazing. My husband and I had been looking for an extracurricular activity to enroll our son in. He has a learning disability and some people tend to forget to be patient or take the extra time to break things down for him. The trainers/teachers do just that. They are patient and will take the time to work with him one on one. They are so incredibly personal with our child; we definitely feel welcomed there. This was the best decision we made our son. I highly recommend Brasa Comprido BJJ. They go above and beyond for all of their students!

I love that not only my son joined, but my daughter wanted to as well when she saw how much fun her brother was having. The location is in Stratford square mall. The studio is clean and the staff is welcoming. They are so great with kids. The coaches don't leave one child out. They are on their knees kid level and teach them, actually take the time to make sure each student is doing things correctly. I have had my kids in different places to try different sports and this has hands down been the most fun, educational, and rewarding for my kids. I'm a single mom and my son (6yrs old) loves to go see his coaches every day. He is making friends and enjoying, what I hope will be, a life long activity for him.

As of April 2024, Comprido BJJ is now at 201 E Army Trail Road in Bloomingdale. I have been training at Comprido BJJ since 2018. Comprido and Marcelo are great instructors for all levels. Predominantly GI classes are offered. Night sessions M through TH. Saturday morning also. Currently there is lunch time training on M W & FR. There is wide variety of belts training at all sessions.
