Great atmosphere that’s super friendly. Would recommend for anyone brand new or experienced. All the instructors take their time to teach and get technique and form down before anything else. Also super good for uic students as well, most people are students already so it’s a welcoming environment.

I've always wanted to learn a combat sport and I'm so glad I decided to do so at CSG! Everyone is so inviting and willing to teach you, and they make you feel like you're part of a great community. It makes showing up to class and stepping outside your comfort zone so much easier and so much more fun :)

Coach John, Coach Derek, Coach Marco, and the Team are a pleasure to be a part of. This gym is very good for all types grappling and striking training, no matter the skill level. They actually care about you and the atmosphere is a pleasure to be around. Plus, no annual contracts. I would absolutely recommend this gym to anyone, whether you are looking to compete, learn self defense, get a work out in, etc. The memories and experiences I gathered here will stay with me for a very long time.

Trained in BJJ, Kickboxing/Muy Thai Sparring and Training, and Kickboxing/Muy Thai fundamentals here. I really enjoyed the no-nonsense atmosphere here. No, "Yes, sir" "No, sir." Everyone here's the spirit of learning and growing. No one's made to feel bad for not knowing a technique or not having experience. All skill levels are welcome. I would especially recommend this school for beginner or experienced martial artists interested in training with a welcoming group of people, students, and instructors with no frills. Be prepared for a welcoming environment! With no annual fee or commitment, the monthly price is very reasonable and fair, as is the drop-in price. I would recommend CSG for anyone in the area looking to learn and train with no strings attached!
