I trained here from January 2025 until last month. The facilities are all super clean and well-kept, instructors are very knowledgeable and friendly, and nearly all of the people I've rolled with have been good partners. Feels like a community. Five stars! I moved out of state, but would recommend DJJC to anyone.

Had a wonderful time training here. Check in process was super smooth, facilities were top-notch and very clean including multiple showers, and everyone was quite welcoming and friendly. Great Friday night class by Kalvin on mount escapes. Very detailed and well sequenced. Great rolls. Would definitely return next time in town. Thanks, friends!

Would highly recommend this gym for anyone considering getting into BJJ. Only trained here for a little while but the instructors were super knowledgeable and created a great environment to train and learn in. Facilities are also fantastic.

Training here while visiting town has been a fantastic experience! The instruction is excellent, and everyone is incredibly welcoming. The gym is clean, has great rolls, and the showers are a nice touch. I'm bringing the whole family tomorrow. Highly recommend! I had an incredible training experience this morning and was planning to tour the city afterward. However, I couldn't resist dropping by again for a no-gi class. Even though I didn’t have any gear, they generously lent me pants. To my surprise, they were hosting a tournament-style EBI and included me in the under-170 division after asking my weight. It turned out to be the best day ever as a tourist. I'll definitely be going back Tomorrow

Beautiful facility and an awesome team! I made it a point to check this gym out while I was in town for a work trip. Finding the building was easy, getting in however was a little difficult until I realized you just had to check the directory outside the door and call the gym to access the elevator. I made it to the 7am Randori No-Gi; which ended up being a smaller more intentional fundamentals-esque time for drilling some bad positions. Kelvin ran an awesome class and taught some cool techniques I’ll get to bring home and share with my team. All my training partners were top tier and gave me some really good rounds after class. I had a great time, and the showers on site made it super easy for me to be ready to hop on a flight back home right after we wrapped up. The facility itself is a massive space with 2 mat areas, a gym, lobby area, showers, and bathrooms-it’s actually deceptively large. I didn’t get to use the gym and turf section of the gym but the setup and option was awesome to see. Particularly all you need in terms of the power racks; this little power builder loved seeing it :) The gis being available to rent made it a good note for next time to know I won’t have to pack my own into the suitcase. Ladies, as a female coming into this gym having no clue of what to expect - you have nothing to worry about. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and respectful. I wouldn’t expect anything less especially in Chicago (which is always a pleasure to visit this city), but I know sometimes there’s a hesitation when visiting a new spot. So just so you know; you’re safe :) Thank you to Kelvin and the team for welcoming me with an awesome spirit and great rounds. I can’t wait to add this shirt into my arsenal of jiu jitsu gyms I’ve got the pleasure of seeing and I can’t wait to be back!
