My two daughters have been practicing at Enso for about 8 years. In addition to seeing growth in their karate practice, we have loved the confidence and balance they have developed. Enso instructors regularly invite students to give feedback on their peers and help to instruct others of different ranks, which has fostered independence and confidence, even when they make mistakes. We love the family feeling, and highly recommend.

We love Enso karate for our 8 year old. In the few months she has been part of the dojo her self confidence and discipline have both increased. A special shout-out to sensei denise and jay who are amazing and supportive to kids of all ages. Highly encourage any family looking for a warm but highly professional karate class for their kids to thrive.

Enso is a wonderful dojo with world class sensei(s). They have great classes for beginners as well as advanced students of all ages, and are welcoming to all. There are always lots of kids full of energy, having a great time, and working out with their parents. I returned to them as a former Tae-Keon-Do practitioner who did martial arts in his teens, and who is now older. Learning again with them has been so fun! They also help run The Chicago Blast, one of the Midwest’s premier karate tournaments. Would definitely recommend!

We’ve had an incredible experience at Enso! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed into a supportive and respectful environment where students of all ages are encouraged to grow—physically, mentally, and emotionally. The senseis are not only highly skilled but also outstanding teachers. They balance discipline with encouragement, and they take the time to ensure each student understands the techniques and values behind karate. It’s clear they care deeply about their students’ progress, both on and off the mat. The classes are well-structured, challenging, and engaging. Whether you’re a beginner or advancing through the belts, there’s always something new to learn and master. The dojo also emphasizes respect, focus, and perseverance—values that carry over into everyday life. Beyond the training, the sense of community is truly special. Families feel involved, and students support each other like a second family. It’s been a joy watching our child gain confidence, strength, and self-discipline. We can’t recommend Enso Karate enough. If you’re looking for a place to learn karate, develop character, and be part of an inspiring community, this is it.
