First of all the intro class "Taste of the Knightly Arts" is a great experience. Very methodical and step by step, lots of explanation and hands on help with immediate feedback, crucial for learning and developing skills. Secondly, great service. I bit off more than I could chew and signed up for a class that overlapped with my wedding and had to quit halfway through. They offered me a redo for free as a 'wedding gift' which was really nice. Highly recommended!

I started archery here after taking it at another place for 4 years. Sadly, the owner of that shop passed away and they are closing. But even after only 3 lessons, I have learned quite a bit here. It seems friendly and casual, which I like. The sign up, website and structure are a bit confusing to a new person. But I like it enough to sign up for another session.

I’m currently enrolled in a sword fighting course, but I also took one of their archery classes last summer. Thoroughly impressed with the amount of historical knowledge and insight the instructors bring into class. Walking through the front door, you can feel a warm energy in the space, as the people who work here are genuinely kind and enthusiastic to closely guide students of all levels. They tell some pretty good jokes and stories too!

Took their Taste of the Knightly Arts class. Was very pleased with the hands on instruction and friends I made along the way. Whenever I tell people I took up swordfighting, I always get a good reaction and confidence boost. Never really had a sport to call my own since I'm more of the nerdy type, so I am pretty happy! Highly recommend.

I do not recommend this for your group if you are looking for something fun to do in Chicago. The staff does not want to be bothered with any questions/concerns, and I am only assuming & hoping they have more patience with recurring customers. My group and I called in advance (multiple times because each member had different information & they had to track down the 1 that knew), being our first time purchasing & having a group with mixed levels of archery experience, we purchased the tickets as recommended per their staff. The atmosphere of the place itself is gorgeous, but the staff is horrible. Upon arrival, we were not welcomed by anyone. We were left standing staring at the counter. We were early & the guide was late. We even apologized to the guide for our questions after seeing that her mannerisms & tone were not kind nor approachable, but that didn't improve her attitude. I wrote a follow-up email (included names/dates) to the establishment to inform them of our poor experience before reviewing...I never heard back.
