I have had the pleasure of training alongside Edgar for years. In my almost 20yrs of jiu jitsu I have met very few people who are as passionate about learning and sharing knowledge as Edgar. He will give all of his energy to help you learn and reach your goals. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, Roadrunner is a great place to learn. Fantastic and welcoming environment too!

Edgar is an extremely technical and knowledgeable competitor and teacher. He’s extremely passionate about jiu jitsu and that sort of passion is contagious in the room that he runs. Highly recommend for anyone of any skill level — and great with kids.

Edgar is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced athletes I know. Whether you are looking to do jiu-jitsu recreationally or competitively he’s someone that will support you and is great to have along the journey. The gym is spacious and clean. The atmosphere and vibes there are electric. The instruction taught by Edgar is outstanding. Even more importantly, the members are super welcoming and friendly which in my opinion is a must for a jiu jitsu gym.

My son has been taking Jiu-Jitsu classes with Edgar at Roadrunner, and we couldn’t be happier. Edgar is very patient and works so well with the kids, making sure they learn not only technique but also discipline and confidence. The environment at Roadrunner is welcoming, safe, and supportive. My son looks forward to every class and is growing so much thanks to Edgar’s guidance. Highly recommend

If you’re looking for a jiu-jitsu school that delivers world-class instruction with a truly supportive atmosphere, Edgar’s academy is second to none. From day one, you can feel the difference — the culture is built on respect, discipline, and genuine camaraderie. Edgar is an exceptional instructor: technical, patient, and deeply invested in every student’s progress. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned competitor, he has a way of breaking down complex techniques so they’re easy to understand and apply. His attention to detail is incredible, and he makes sure fundamentals are rock solid while still pushing you to level up. What really sets this school apart is the environment. The training is intense and high-level, but always safe and ego-free. Teammates support each other, celebrate growth, and create a community that feels like family. You leave every class better than you walked in — not just physically stronger, but mentally sharper and more confident. If you’re serious about improving your jiu-jitsu and training under a coach who truly cares, this is the place to be.
