Genesis Merle Hay is the best! I enjoy meeting my friends there and doing my gym workouts. My awesome trainers are Andi Feekes and Michael Schinstock. Andi and Michael teach me how to exercise safely as well as encouraging me to be my best self! The staff is friendly and supportive. When you go in to Genesis Merle Hay, you are greeted by a staff member at the front desk. The gym is well maintained by the maintenance staff, David and Delores. Group training is so much fun with our awesome group trainers. Silver Sneakers is a fun group training among many other.s. All group training sessions are included with your Genesis membership. No matter what the weather outside, it is sunny inside the gym!

I love the Genesis Health Clubs – Merle Hay location! My personal trainer, Austin, is the best. He makes every workout challenging while also making sure your form is correct so you don’t injure yourself. He has a very positive personality and genuinely wants the best for his clients. I would highly recommend training with him. I also really enjoy the group classes—especially Turf Time with Keshawn. It’s a great workout and a lot of fun!

I’ve been working with my personal trainer, Austin Hunter, for over three months now, and the experience has been fantastic. From day one, he took the time to really listen to my goals—getting into better shape and building muscle—and created workouts specifically designed to help me reach them. He consistently pushes me to improve while keeping sessions motivating and approachable. Austin is personable, knowledgeable, and an excellent coach who clearly cares about his clients’ progress. If you’re serious about investing in your health and fitness, I’d highly recommend working with Austin to help you achieve your goals.

At other Genesis locations they put a neat little pyramid of towels in the locker room for your convenience. At this one they make you sign them out at the front desk like a copper cup at a dive bar. One of the hand dryers in the locker room blasts cold air because it has broken heating element and it has been that way literally for years. The condenser in the drinking fountain isn't working and it puts out hot water. The soap dispensers are perpetually empty. At least one of the toilets is out of order at any given time. The locker room carpet has never been vacuumed. The worst Genesis location in the metro.

I'm leaving this review for pure safety reasons. I told two managers that one of their peck fly machine seats was broken and would suddenly drop because the teeth were worn and couldn't grip properly. I weigh about 200lbs and it can't hold me without dropping. It always does this and has gotten worse over the years, however it is getting much worse. When I told them the admitted they knew it was broken and the one manager told the other it wasn't a big deal that most people will just put a 45 or 25 pound plate under it to hold it. Today (over a month later) I went to use this machine and it dropped me about 3 or 4 clicks. When someone is injured by this equipment I hope this review is used as evidence for the lawsuit since they knowingly choose not to fix it!
