Gentle Human BJJ

Over the course of 9 years, coach jei kennedy and gentle human bjj, has given me the opportunity of a lifetime. From beginning with jei kennedy at white belt, blue belt, purple belt, and currently brown belt, i have reinvented and re discovered myself through the discipline and hard work, and love from the community he has cultivated around brazilian jiu jitsu. I have always been impressed with his dedication and passion he has for what we do, i could not recommend a better coach and gym family to be apart of. If bettering your mind, body, and spirit are your goals, if surrounding yourself with positivity is your goal, if giving back to yourself and your community is your goal, let me tell you first hand 9 years in this is the place for you.

Our son has been learning from coach Jei for almost two years now. He absolutely loves it, and is looking forward to class each week! Jei has helped him work on his confidence, taught him to be disciplined & brave in battle, and yet still humble in defeat. We love this gym and are glad to be a part of this big family. He creates a fun and supportive environment where our daughter felt confident and excited to learn. We’ve seen her grow not just in skill but also in confidence. I’ve been training with Coach Jei since I was five years old (now 18) And have absolutely nothing bad/negative to say about him. As a mentor, friend, role model, and much more. He has helped me mentally and physically more than I can put into words. And not just me, him and Coach Reese have built an amazing circle of people that add to the positive and family like energy in the gym. This gym is amazing in every way. Very welcoming and supportive. My family has trained with Coach Jei for many years. He is an amazing coach and mentor. He is very supportive and knowledgeable- able to successfully coach anybody who walks through the door. I cannot say enough positive things. Being with this gym has helped both my son and daughter gain so much confidence and grow as humans. I have also grown in many ways from training here. There is so much positive energy.
