Pella BJJ is legit. I was just visiting family for the week from Florida and they made me feel very welcomed. I told them I was a white belt with just one month of training and they took good care of me. The class is very organized. It is a good balance of drilling along with sparring. The gym also has a sauna and weights, which is a nice addition that most gyms I’ve trained at in Florida do not have. Overall, very impressed with this gym. Coach and general manager David Robbins is an intelligent Ju Jitsu practitioner and warm personality. I enjoyed chatting with him after class about Ju Jitsu and life. Will be back!

I trained at Pella BJJ for years and was privileged to grow alongside the gym. They are very knowledgeable and train both women and men (without there being a weird vibe about it that other gyms have). When I made the decision to train at a different gym near me (I'm from Osky) the head coach was very supportive and made it a heart-warming goodbye. This establishment has a great culture and cares more about your progress than money. 10/10 recommend 🤌

I joined a couple of weeks before Christmas. I’ve done martial arts my entire life, but no grappling. I wasn’t a wrestler in high school. The instructor’s are highly knowledgeable, happy to pass on their knowledge, and extremely welcoming. They also are great at finding workarounds for physical limitations. The students range from beginner to experienced, small to big, strong to technical. They’ve all been great and I look forward to a long journey in this establishment.

Place is great. I come in with no experience. They say no problem. I am only here for a summer. They say no problem. the coaches are very welcoming and are very flexibility with you. The workouts are tiring, but very rewarding and afterwards you felt like you actual did something. Combat gyms get a bad rep for being hardcore, and while they are some people who go there to compete there are also people, like myself, who go just to get a awesome workout in. Additionally classmates are very friendly and kind and will introduce themselves. Plus accessories like a lifting gym, sauna, ice bath and massage chair make it a one stop shop for training and for new experiences.

This place is the best! Started a couple years ago (young and clueless, mind you) as a complete white belt. I had no idea what I was doing at the beginning but the instructors are patient and will teach you based on your skill level. Got my blue belt after lots of hard work and practice! 💪 They will differentiate lessons if you are just looking to learn how to defend yourself or are wanting to enter into competitions (where moves are scored on a point system). Being a gal in this kind of sport can be tough, but the guys here are friendly and have no problems training with me. They challenge my abilities without going full out, so I don't feel like I'm going home in a cast. ;) Would definitely recommend this gym to anyone who is looking to begin their jiu jitsu journey!
