I frequently travel to New Orleans—specifically the Garden District—and I’m always on the lookout for a solid gym to use while I’m here. What initially caught my eye was the 7-day pass for $70, which is an outstanding price compared to most short-term gym options. I stopped in to check the place out, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They let me walk around and explore the gym on my own, which I really appreciated. The following morning, I signed up for the 7-day pass. The gym is split into two levels. The downstairs has all the free weights, squat racks, Smith machines, and a wide variety of strength and workout machines. Upstairs is dedicated to cardio, with plenty of treadmills, StairMasters, and other equipment. There’s also a turf area for functional training and open workouts, plus they offer group fitness classes. The locker rooms are compact but very clean, with lockers, showers, and bathrooms—everything you need without feeling cramped. If I lived here, I’d absolutely be a member. And if you’re staying near Magazine Street and looking for a great place to work out, I highly recommend checking out Franco’s Athletic Club.

Franco's is a great gym. I have a background in powerlifting and I can say that this place has everything anyone needs to work out. There is an open layout downstairs with machines and racks. Upstairs, there are treadmills, stair machines, elliptical machines, and a full-size aerobics room with mats, hand weights, yoga mats, and Les Miles weight bars. The entire gym is always a comfortable temperature. The aerobics room has large fans, which can be easily turned on. The gym provides towels and sanitary wipes to clean machines and mats before/after use. The staff has always been kind and helpful to me. There is an office right at the front with a manager there almost constantly to answer any questions. Franco's is a premium gym for a premium price. It is compact, but it has everything you need to meet your fitness goals. I would highly suggest dropping by and taking a tour.

I travel weekly for work, so I’m constantly searching for a solid gym wherever I land — and Franco’s on Magazine Street absolutely blew me away. Joey, the GM, was incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating. He even made sure I had a comfortable workspace between workouts, which was a huge plus. The facility has everything I need — clean showers, a relaxing sauna, tons of free weights, and a spotless, well-maintained environment. It’s rare to find a gym that checks every box, but Franco’s does. Huge thanks to Joey and the team for creating such a welcoming and top-tier space. This will definitely be my go-to spot every time I’m in town! 💪🔥

Let’s talk about Franco’s because this little gym is giving neighborhood hidden gem vibes, even if it’s not exactly the size of Planet Fitness on steroids. It’s small, sure. Not a ton of equipment. You’re not gonna find twelve versions of the same machine in here. But honestly? It gets the job done. I’ve never had to stand around awkwardly waiting for someone to finish their last set while pretending to stretch my calves for twenty minutes. Now, if you’re hoping to chat it up and make gym besties, this might not be your scene. The crowd’s a bit quiet, all business, headphones in, laser focused. Everyone seems to know what they’re doing, which is great if you’re into serious workouts, but slightly tragic if you’re like me and want someone to gossip with between sets. Franco’s definitely caters to folks who are already pretty high performing and just want a solid neighborhood spot to get in, crush their workout, and get out. And honestly? I love working out here. No frills, no drama, just a reliable place to sweat and feel strong. Five stars however sometimes I’d love a little more social energy, but Franco’s is still my go-to.
