A great place to train and traditional Japanese martial arts with practical, real world application. And electric group of students and instructors training hard and building a community in Baltimore City. No contracts, and everyone pays dues, including the instructors. I have been able to take what I learned at Baltimore Aikido and travel and train around the world.

I like Aikido because it does not emphasize the use of force or violence, but rather focuses on how to use your opponent strength and momentum to your advantage. this means that even if you are small or not very strong, that you can still do this Marshall art well. it is also a great way to develop your body awareness and practice mindfulness. As someone who has been working from home for the past two years, the Dojo has also served as a great source for community for me. everyone here is very friendly and welcoming to students of all levels of experience. The membership is very affordable, and I believe your first two classes are free. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in martial art or is looking for a community to come check it out.
