This is a great welcoming club. Through exceptional instruction and trainings students learn Shotokan karate embracing tradition and proper technique. Definitely the place to be if you want to learn and enjoy practicing this martial art.

An excellent choice if you're looking for authentic Japanese Karate. The instructors are very patient, experienced, and detailed. The adult classes are challenging and always educational. While the club is very serious about teaching authentic Shotokan Karate, everyone is so friendly and down to earth. I like the fact that there are no big egos in this dojo. I also like that this is not your typical strip mall Karate studio. It is a non-profit organization where the instructors truly love to teach their art. I highly recommend this club!

This is a great community of serious karate practitioners. It is the most welcoming club I’ve visited. It has a good mix of all levels and instructors are one of Shotokan‘s best. You can tell the instructors really care about the students and teaching good, quality, traditional karate. I would definitely recommended it for beginners and those with karate experience.

It's difficult to overstate the quality of the instruction and overall experience of practicing at this phenomenal dojo. As someone who has practiced Shotokan for a long time and with many different clubs, I do not hesitate in saying that SKCM is the most welcoming, and has some of the best instruction in the world, let alone the area. The atmosphere is welcoming for children, teens, adults, families, as well as seniors. New students are immediately incorporated into the community here, and in true Shotokan fashion, more advanced students are always around to answer questions, help you practice a technique you're struggling with, or just chat. The unique combination of world class instruction and genuinely good and pleasant people is one of a kind - if you're in the area and looking for traditional martial arts, this is the place to be!
