Bernardo is one of the biggest names in Jiu Jitsu and it’s a name you can trust for quality and character. I’ve had the great pleasure of training with Bernardo on several occasions and it’s always been fantastic. He runs a great gym with great people ready to welcome you on your Jiu Jitsu Journey! Come for the Jiu Jitsu and stay for people! Bernardo is one of nicest guys you’ll ever meet!

Our 4-year-old son attends classes here, and we’ve had an amazing experience. When he first started, he was very nervous and hesitant to participate for the first couple of months. The staff was incredibly patient, empathetic, and encouraging. They never pressured him, but consistently invited him to join and helped build his confidence and trust over time. Now he runs into class (after bowing at the edge of the mat, of course!) and can’t wait to participate. We've seen his confidence grow over the last year and he's so proud everytime he earns another stripe on his belt. They do a fantastic job teaching fundamentals, but even more importantly for kids ages 4–6, they emphasize respect, manners, and how to listen and follow directions. Coach Jared is incredible and has a natural way with the kids—he makes class fun while maintaining a structured learning environment. Hana, Rayra, and Krista are wonderful as well! We’re very grateful for the positive environment they’ve created for young kids.

All I can say is that this place is AMAZING!!! I dropped in today from another gym, an hour and a half away, and it was truly worth it. Professor Marcos is extremely high-level, and I am so grateful that he rolled with me for five rounds. I learned a lot from him, especially when he spoke to me about having the proper mindset and training for competition. He even took some time getting to know me, which is something I don't experience when I drop into other gyms. His students were very technical, friendly, and welcoming. It was great drilling rolling with Joe (Huang). He has great Jiu Jitsu like Marcos, and it was fun rolling with him. I strongly recommend that anyone living in the area consider training here. The instruction and training are world-class. I plan on dropping in every month to sharpen my skills and to supplement training at my academy. Thank you, Professor Marcos and Joe, for having me. You guys are awesome, and I hope to see you in the future. Update 7/22/2025: I dropped in for another class last night. This time it was taught by Bernardo Faria, who is one of the most accomplished BJJ practitioners of all time. It was an amazing class, and his students were amazing like the last time. I enjoyed learning from Bernardo and also rolling with him. He has such a great attitude and is super humble, kind, and respectful. It was amazing training with such a great person. Thank you Bernardo!

Marcos and Bernardo are one of the best people that I ever meet in my life. I’m very proud and honored to be able to call them my friends and mentors. And about they jiu jitsu the results as an instructors and competitors speak about their self. Love those guys and rightly recommend the gym.
