Bushido Martial Arts Academy

My son absolutely loves Bushido. The classes are full of great energy and fun, while still teaching real discipline and listening skills. He’s learning so many important things, focus, following instructions, breathing, and calming his body, all in a way that feels positive and encouraging. There are multiple instructors in each class, which makes a huge difference. They keep a close eye on the kids, help them stay on track, and make sure everyone is supported and learning. The kids clearly have a lot of fun, and it’s amazing to see them trying new things, stretching their abilities, and building confidence. He also loves the uniform, and honestly, it’s adorable seeing all the kids lined up together, focused and engaged. We’ve been so happy with this program and highly recommend it.

I wish I could give Bushido Martial Arts Academy more than 5 stars!! This academy is not only extremely professional and kind, they are also incredibly dedicated in the success of every student. My son is neurodivergent, and often gets stressed in classes, and they have been incredibly patient and flexible to attend to his needs to ensure his success in this sport, while also being flexible with scheduling to suit his needs, should he have to miss a class. They have fun weekend activities on the weekends often and their studio is located in the safe downtown area of Belmont. My son loves how kind and attentive the teachers are, and how they encourage him being successful in the sport. I would highly recommend this studio if you not only want a fun sport for your child, but also want a studio that actually cares about their students. Great studio, great location, great people!!!

We had a wonderful experience with this karate class. Coach Bobby is incredibly patient and great with kids. My child always enjoyed the classes and felt comfortable learning in such a supportive environment. We initially enrolled thinking it would mainly help with physical fitness, but we were pleasantly surprised to see how much emphasis the class also places on values. The kids are taught to be respectful, not to use force casually. It’s really meaningful to see these lessons being passed on. Thank you, Bobby, for your patience and for being such a positive influence during this time. We truly appreciate the experience!

Bobby is a great instructor! He is incredibly patient with younger kids and truly understands how to work with them at their own pace. He takes the time to make new students feel comfortable and welcomed, which makes such a difference. Highly recommend his classes for any parent looking for a supportive and encouraging environment!

My daughter came here for 3 years, she learned a lot and loved it. Bobby is a great teacher, is very nice, and takes Karate seriously. He also has the gift of getting 20 four year olds to sit quietly and meditate. He doesn’t just teach Karate and self-defense, he teaches resilience, discipline, and respect for yourself and others. Don’t miss out on this great class for your kids.
