My family has been part of the Eight Animal Martial Arts community for a year. My son and daughter started in the 4-6 year old Kung Fu class which is great for building listening, focus, and attention skills. That class plays a variety of fun games focused on movement mixed in with beginner kung fu exercises. My son then moved on to the 7-12 year old class which is much more skills based; that's when the Kung Fu exercises are taught in greater earnest along with kickboxing moves. Sifu Sean is amazing at keeping all the kids focused and having fun no matter what their level! He'll challenge those students who can do more, and encourage newer students to try their best. I take fitness kickboxing classes which are always a blast. Classes consist of timed rounds of kickboxing combinations interwoven with calisthenics, weights, or other exercises. No need to be intimidated because all moves can be adjusted to your level, and Sifu Sean provides plenty of high energy motivation and feedback for everyone. I've previously trained free weights and running but this is much more intense and I'm constantly learning new things with every class. I've definitely noticed more energy, more muscle definition, and fewer aches and pains (discounting the average 2 days of soreness after class) since starting kickboxing. Finally, my husband takes both adult Kung Fu and kickboxing, making it a whole family activity. Sifu Sean has built a supportive community for all his students. There are many fun activities throughout the year like 5K team runs, movie nights, glow kickboxing night, kids summer camps, etc. We've enjoyed meeting new friends and the kickboxing moms are a total force to be reckoned with! 💪

We met Sifu Sean at the Belmont Farmers’ Market (running Move It! Hour for their POP Club) and we were so impressed by his skills and general attitude, we had to sign up for the Kung Fu class! My 5 yo loves it so far. She has really enjoyed learning new moves and making new friends.

Amazing adult kickboxing classes (and the kids all look like they love their classes too!) Classes are varied enough to stay interesting while always providing a good workout. Sifu Sean helps tailor exercises to our individual fitness levels, and is just the right mix of encouraging while still pushing you to do your best. The community of other students is fun and supportive, with folks regularly joining together for additional events in and out of the studio. Highly recommend trying out a free intro class to see if this is a good fit for you!

I cannot say enough positive things about Eight Animal Arts with Sifu Sean. The guy is energy personified! My 5 year old daughter has yet to be interested enough in any activity to focus, let alone want to go back week after week. Class with Sifu Sean is the exclamation point to the end of her school week! The attention he commands, respect he receives, the skills he teaches and the fun he prepares for these kids is second to none. Every class is unique, high energy, and very skill-heavy. Aside from the physical aspect, the kids learn how to cooperate, to respect each other, and take responsibility for their actions. Sifu Sean is Belmont royalty!

My 8-year-old has been training beginner Kung Fu with Sifu Sean for almost 3 months now, and he loves it! Sifu Sean is an excellent coach and role model - he is clear in his communication, inspires with great values, and encourages discipline and respect for the art of Kung Fu. All the kids listen and stay focused during their exercises. We highly recommend doing Kung Fu here. He also has grown-up fitness options.
