Team Forsa is hands down one of the best places to train jiu-jitsu. I’ve been training with Professor Anderson for 6yrs. It’s a super friendly, family-oriented environment where people of all ages and backgrounds feel welcome. Adults get great training, with a mix of gi and no-gi classes and the kids' classes are fantastic, structured, fun, and focused on both skill-building and character development. Another awesome thing is how clean the facility is. The mats, bathroom, and common spaces are always spotless. If you’re thinking about trying jiu-jitsu, this is absolutely the place. Highly recommend. You won’t regret joining.

As a former martial arts instructor myself, I know how important it is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. My son, who has ADHD and is very hyperactive, started with Professor Michelle at Team Forsa a little over a year ago when he was 6 years old (now 7). Watching him in Jiu-Jitsu class, you wouldn’t be able to tell that he struggles with focus or hyperactivity. We were immediately impressed with how Michelle taught the class, interacted with our son, and even called his attention when he misbehaved. With her strong Judo background, she instills a level of discipline and focus in the children that I have never seen in any other Jiu-Jitsu school. Her approach is not only highly skilled but also filled with patience and understanding, making the learning process enjoyable for the kids. In the beginning, our son misbehaved more often than not, so much so that we often felt embarrassed by his actions. Each time we apologized, both Professor Michelle and Professor Anderson never made us feel uncomfortable or judged. Instead, they reassured us that it was just a phase and part of the process and that with 'teamwork' between parents and the professor, things would improve. Michelle's calm, supportive approach, filled with patience and understanding, gave us hope, and sure enough, it worked! Over time, we saw a significant positive change in his behavior, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her guidance and support. We loved her teaching style and the safe environment she provided in her class so much that we decided to enroll our 2.5-year-old (now 3) in the little kids' class, and we couldn’t be happier with that decision. In fact, we plan to enroll our 1-year-old in her class as soon as he's old enough to join! We've recommended Team Forsa to several of our friends, and ever since our son started, six kids have joined the team through our recommendation. Five of them are from my son’s Judo club, whose parents have experience with martial arts either by practicing themselves or by watching their kids' classes at the Judo club, and they can easily recognize how safe and well-structured the environment is for children. Whether you intend to have your child compete in tournaments or simply want them to take Jiu-Jitsu for the confidence, discipline, and focus it builds, Team Forsa is the perfect place. Watching both of our children thrive under Michelle and Anderson's instruction has been such a rewarding experience. Team Forsa has truly become our second home. We're there almost every day! It's more than just a Jiu-Jitsu school; it's a community where children, parents, and even grandparents train together. The atmosphere is welcoming and family-oriented, making it a place where everyone, regardless of age, skill level, or "disability", feels like they belong. It's truly a place where the whole family can grow together, both on and off the mats.

I’ve had the pleasure of training at team forsa a handful of times now. Everyone is always so welcoming and the lessons taught are great. Lots of upper belts and skilled grapplers make for fun rounds. Also their women’s team is awesome! Team forsa hosts my favorite women’s only open mat in the area!!

dropped in for a class and open mat today. very clean facility and professor Anderson immediately came up to greet me and him and the team were all super welcoming. the class itself was high level and anderson broke down all the details well and also was attentive to walking around and making sure no one missed any of the moves before continuing. the open mat had a lot of color and upper belts - all of them were skilled but no one was overly aggressive. just perfect paced, high technique rounds. really appreciated the mat time and the lesson. would highly recommend this school if you’re in the area.

My experience here so far has been nothing short of excellent. The people are all very welcoming, and there is a clear sense of comradery within the gym. I enjoy the clean atmosphere, and attention to detail that the instructors have. I feel that I am being given instruction by coaches who are very experienced, and know what they are talking about. The owner, professor Anderson is very well versed in his craft which I prefer when looking for instruction, at the same time he is one of the nicest people that I have met.
