Uechi Ryu Karate Cambridge

I've been Sensei Ford's student for a very long time (20 plus years). It's a great place to learn discipline, focus and of course how to defend yourself. Your confidence grows the more you go and learn. Like everything in life, you get out what you put in and with the amount of knowledgeable students you will learn quite a bit. It's an environment that breeds comradery so come on down, take a few classes and before you know it....20 years will fly by! Looking forward to seeing you there!!!

I have been practicing Karate as a beginner for about a year and a half at Uechi Ryu Karate Cambridge. Grand Master Sensei Tim Ford is knowledgeable, patient and an effective teacher. The dojo is full of high ranking blacks belts, some of which have trained with Sensei Tim for many years, that are extremely knowledgeable and helpful in assisting lower ranking students. I was initially hesitant to learn Karate however, Tim's approachable demeanor and effective teaching style created a constructive learning environment. I highly recommend practicing Uechi Ryu Karate with Sensei Tim Ford.

Highly recommend Uechi Ryu Karate Cambridge. I studied karate here for a number of years when I was much younger (~20 years ago) before I moved away from MA, and recently dropped in for a class. I was delighted to see so many familiar faces, which speaks incredibly highly of this dojo. Sensei Ford is a wonderful teacher. He’s not only a master black belt, but he’s also a patient, instructive, funny, and welcoming teacher. Sensei Ford’s dojo has students of all ages and skill levels. While there are a number of folks that have been going for many years (again, a great sign!), newbies are welcomed and everyone is incredibly friendly. Karate is not only a great workout, but it provides so many other benefits as well. Highly recommend!

Sensei Tim Ford is the real deal! Sensei Ford provides excellent instruction in traditional Uechi-Ryu Karate and has a wealth of experience as well as a keen eye for detail that forges strong students. Every class is always a great workout with great team spirit in the dojo. Highly recommend!

Tim Sensei is an amazing person and teacher. This dojo is not just a school of Uechi Ryu Karate it is a school of life, family and friendship. Tim is a teacher and mentor to me - I have brought my son here to learn from him and his students as well. The quality of the teacher is reflected in their students, and Tim’s students are the best I have ever trained with. Solid practitioners and friends. I cannot say enough about Tim and his dojo.
