I just joined Jabbs gym about a month ago. I was the type to workout on my own. I had always tried fitness groups here and there but found it hard to really connect. When I stepped into Jabbs I instantly felt the love and positive energy. I noticed how the trainers Ryon,Armond Analicia and Syndi all have there own styles really connect with the class and each individual. They have a genuine energy .Each trainer bring something very unique to class from their personality to the music and energy. The workouts are pretty intense, I’m not going to lie but I love that we change stations and it’s more of a hiit style circuit training. Group wise, I love seeing the same people on a daily basis and knowing we are all in this together although, we are on our own personal journeys. I started just doing a couple days but the more I come and show up the more I look forward to each class. I could really keep going but I’m not trying to sell it but this is where I want to be and plan on staying. I’m so happy I met my tribe. I love it here ❤️❤️❤️

Jabs gym Eastern Market is the place to be. 6am cross-training is an amazing class whether you are new to fitness or looking to perfect your form and challenge yourself. Coach Ryon’s classes are great for learning proper form/technique and the atmosphere and people really push you. It’s so nice having accountability and a shared journey to being disciplined and consistent. He also gives the best motivational speeches. Kickboxing is high energy and Syd’s class will leave you feeling like the baddie you are. They are always running great package deals that make it affordable to try out the classes they offer.

I've recently attended Jabs Gym, as I've been looking for some more exciting cardio to supplement my bodybuilding--and I've been inspired by the anime "Hajime no Ippo" and the protagonist's self-improvement, which is reminiscent of my own, but I digress. Just after Googling "Boxing gyms near Downtown Detroit," and it led me to the Eastern Market location. When you arrive in the gym--which is on the third floor--you'll immediately see a multitude of boxing bags. They may not have a ring (and I don't believe sparring takes place at the gym), but the classes are very high energy. The times I've gone, I found myself gassed out once the session concluded, which is phenomenal. To me, sweating, heavy breathing, and an elevated heart rate are all signs of hard work. Despite being very new to boxing classes, I immediately felt welcomed. Not only that, but I believe the instructors have a solid understanding of boxing fundamentals; some of what they discussed came up in the aforementioned "Hajime no Ippo." They have deals on the website for monthly memberships and for individual classes as well, of which I certainly intend to take advantage. I recommend Jabs Gym to anyone who wants to learn about boxing, get a good workout in, and have some fun while doing so.

I did the 6am class with Ryon. He is awesome! The workout was curated perfectly to suit first timers and vets. The environment was very encouraging and motivational. He also did a great job making sure my form was correct to maximize my workout. I will be signing up for the 21 day subscription❤️

Ryon is a great trainer, spends time building well rounded sessions and does a great job of acknowledging everyone in class. The environment it upbeat and fun and he does a good job of (safely) pushing your boundaries. I believe there’s room to make the pricing model more attractive to new members which would draw in more business and build loyalty. Ana is another great trainer and member of the Jabs community. I like that she joins the class prior to the one she teaches to show up, work alongside her students and build rapport with us. Shoutout to Alex (the unofficial Jabs influencer) 🙃 for introducing me to Jabs!
