Koubeissi Tae Kwon DO School

first of all I would like to share two experiences with this establishment. for a few months I had been looking for a really good school to take my son to, I was looking for multiple attributes that the school had to have, as I my self had been a black belt of Shotokan karate. having a very good familiarity with the sport, I knew what I was looking for, technique, skill, respect, all of these attributes are extremely important especially when your coaching a young adult or kid to not only be able to defend them self's but to respect there peers and elders. so after going through four or five different schools, and walking away disappointed, I finally found Koubeissi Tae Kwon DO, immediately Master Ali greeted me and welcomed me to the school, of course I was skeptical at first, as I had gone though the other school and disappointment became the expected. but right away just by watching warm ups I could tell that Master Ali had a way with kids, they respected him but not because they were fearing him, but by the genuine belief that Master Ali would make them a better competitor in Tae Kwon DO, this is an extremely important ability that a teacher must be able to have ESPECIALLY when your dealing with kids. he then began his performance exercises, which help his students get into physical fighting shape. after attending a few classes my self, I was convinced that Master Ali was the right teacher for my son. I'm a very involved parent so I attend most of my sons classes, I noticed that Master Ali has a unique blend of strictness when needed but not so much that he doesn't bend when needed. he follows most classes with some positive feed back towards the kids in there every day lives as well, he constantly mentions getting good grades including bringing there report card before the next belt test, and respecting his fellow man... basically all I expected of a true master of the sport and more. my second experience is my self, I was so impressed with his Tae Kwon DO school that I decided to take the adult classes, purely to get back in shape and in a fun way, Master Ali has given me the tools that I needed to get back to my old fighting ways. over all hes absolutely fantastic, and led by a true MASTER of the sport, I highly recommend this to anyone looking to get not only them self's into shape but there child as well. to add on, Master Ali is a true father figure to these kids, once the class is finished, Master Ali keeps an eye on the children until each parent picks them up and they are visually in the car with there parent, it is not out of the norm that you will see Master Ali aiding a kid with asthma an inhaler until he regains his breath, one of many things Mater Ali does for the kids.

He has encouraged those who thought they couldn't accomplish their goals become black belts. I highly recommend this school. Master Ali is phenomenal with our kids. They've been with him for 5 years now, and they still love going to lessons. He makes it fun for the kids, with new routines and new games every couple of weeks. On Holidays he gives out candy and has tournaments for the kids to enjoy, they wait every year for Eid Games and love to learn new skills. Not only does he teach Tae Kwon Do skills, but also offers kids life advice, teaches them to respect one another and helps them with any issues they may have be it in class or at school. It's been 5 years and my kids never once got bored with going, or complained about the atmosphere. Thank you!

Master Ali is wonderful, he provide a super friendly and fun atmosphere for the younger students, Great environment very professional my sons are been there for about 5 years now and both of them love it. They have a great time and I can already tell a change in their behavior. Both are more confident. I can definitely tell that Master Ali is very professional I highly recommend this place!!!! I would not think twice before recommending or choosing champions for martial arts training.

Koubeissi Tae Kwon Do School is one of the most prestigious Martial Arts Schools in all of Michigan. The instructor Master Ali Koubeissi has lead multiple groups of students through Michigan State Championships and through National Championships. He teaches students discipline and respect. He helps students achieve goals in school and in Tae Kwon Do. Master Ali puts in the time and effort to work with students one on one and in groups to help them grow stronger and achieve higher titles and goals. I am proud to call myself a student of Master Ali’s. I am proud to call him my mentor. He is my role model and I consider him as my second father. I am positive that if you ask any of his students they would tell you the same thing. I highly recommend that you register your own children there.
