The trainer/coaches are good, kind, welcoming, many of them volunteers. No one hits (except a punching bag) or gets hit. So nothing to fear. In fact, a lovely, inclusive fellowship. I like best when we are pushed hard. So during easier exercises or stretches, which I can do at home, I'll punch one of the smalll hanging bags. The best is Josh Canty, full of energy and enthusiasm, keeps the pace quick.
