My six year old son has been taking karate at Zanshin for a few months. I cannot say enough good things about the dojo and Sensei Farnsworth. He is such a good role model for the kids. My son really looks up to him and wants to do well. This is the first activity he has dedicated himself to and is excited to attend.

We can't speak highly enough of Zanshin. Our family enrolled a few months ago and Sensei Farnsworth made us feel welcome immediately. The program is wonderful, all the kids are welcoming and help lift each other up. Great value. Great community.

Our youngest has been with Zanshin since he was 5. He absolutely loves it and we love the sense of family and community there. When he graduated to the older class he was a bit timid to go in, but one of the assistants came out and reassured him that she would stay with him, confirmed that he could see the parents from in the room, and encouraged him and praised his work he did on the last session and assured him they were all so excited he was joining them.

My grandson started karate with Sensei Farnsworth at the old dojo on Mack and is now an orange belt almost ready for green belt in the new dojo. Sensei and his wife love what they do and they want what's best for your child. My grandson has learned more about respecting others, self respect, self defense, and self control, while having fun doing it. It is a team approach to learning.

I highly recommend Zanshin Karate Dojo for students of all ages. My 8-year-old son started at Zanshin two years ago and watching his classes inspired me to give it a try. We're both now study with Sensei Farnsworth, who is an inspiring teacher and incredible martial artist. Along with Sensei is a supportive community of students and families who create a wonderful environment for all. A few notes for parents: Zanshin is a clean, safe space with high-quality mats and safety equipment. Students progress through a series of belts and are tested on their skills before they can advance to the next level. Classes include strength and flexibility warm ups, instruction, and practice. Students are also taught history, Japanese terms, forms of respect, self-control, performance, and overcoming fears to excel at new skills. It's also a ton of fun, and a great workout. If you're interested in learning karate, Sensei Farnsworth and the Zanshin community are a great place to start.
