Golden Gloves Firehouse Gym
About
Golden Gloves Firehouse Gym offers training in MMA, boxing, Muay Thai, and kickboxing within a unique firehouse setting that members describe as lavishly equipped and notably clean, avoiding the typical gym odors. The coaching staff receives consistent praise for their expertise, with reviewers noting they "know their stuff" while maintaining a friendly, humorous approach that makes workouts enjoyable. Many appreciate the reasonable pricing and the gym's role as a community staple that uses boxing to address youth disengagement and promote positive recreational activities.
Members experience a welcoming atmosphere where youths and adults often train together, hitting it hard even near closing time. The gym fosters a sense of community uplift, with one reviewer calling it "the best boxing gym in Minnesota" due to the combination of effective training, cleanliness, and engaging coaches. However, some have reported challenges with membership cancellation processes, noting difficulties reaching staff via phone or email after requesting to end subscriptions.
The training environment balances serious skill development with lighthearted interaction, as coaches are described as semi-professional comedians who teach technique while keeping sessions fun. This approach helps members build strength and skill in a supportive setting, though prospective members should be aware of the administrative concerns raised in some reviews regarding communication and billing practices.

The price and coverage is more than fair, expectations predictible but firm. Older Martial artist are not seen, let alone the more mature, older boxers. Still a great place for those interested in boxing.

A community staple using the sport of boxing to uplift individuals and address key challenges facing our community such as youth disengagement, rising health concerns, and the need for positive recreational social activities.

I'm going to try to lay out for you why this is the best boxing gym in Minnesota. #1. It does not smell like a boxing gym. Besides that the real draw is the staff. These boxing coaches know their stuff and the prices are very reasonable. Also, they happen to be semi professional level comedians. So picture this. You go in to this lavishly equipped gym, you get some exercise get some endorphins going, you're getting better, stronger, faster, more lethal. All the while some nice guy is teaching you exactly how to mete out justice while making you laugh. Literally what else do you want out of a boxing gym. Don't be a primmadonna, get your keister to Golden Gloves Firehouse Gym. Yeah it's in a firehouse which is even more neat

Scammers first things first there is nowhere on the website to cancel your membership. You have to call or go in to cancel your membership. I’ve called over 10 times to cancel my nephew’s membership. No one has called me back. No one has returned my voicemail. No one has returned my email they’ve charged my card $50 after I asked for the membership to be canceled very unprofessional. I’m very disappointed no one and I mean no one has called me back issued the email or cancel my nephew subscription. I am being charged $50 a month for a membership my nephew no longer attend. I don’t suggest you or any of your family members bring their kids to this gym. Very unprofessional. I repeat I called over 10 times to cancel the membership. No one called me back and my card was charged $50 and no one has issued my $50 for a membership. I no longer attend.
