Couldn’t say a bad thing about this gym. The culture is perfect for people wanting to learn the art in a sustainable way. It’s not just for hobbiest, and it’s not just for world champs — it’s for everyone. I train with both the women and men, and never imagined how safe and comfortable I’d feel rolling with people of different genders and skill sets. My daughter had started and loves it just as much as I do! I highly recommend this gym for all men, but definitely women wanting to get out of their comfort zone!

In November, I will be celebrating 15 years in my Jiu Jitsu journey… In my time, I have trained with some of the best Jiu Jitsu practitioners in the world and even competed along side some of them. Cast Iron Jiu Jitsu has limitless potential to create top tier competitors while offering a culture that appeals to the average hobbyist! This culture is safely guarded and maintained under the ever watchful eyes of Professor Josh Littleton, who in my opinion, does an incredible job preserving this balance. I HIGHLY recommend this Academy for literally anyone who is willing to stay out of drama, be humble, and focus on getting better at this complex puzzle we know as Jiu Jitsu. 5 star experience guaranteed, or you might actually be the one with the problem. I said what I said… 🤷🏻‍♂️🤓🤙🏻🥋🤼

Visited here today from St Louis. The first thing I noticed was how nice and clean the gym is. The mats were nice, and the layout is done well. Josh is a very cool black belt, and seems to have a good culture going on at his gym. Everyone was rolling, learning from each other, and being respectful to their training partners. All the rolls I had here were super fun, especially considering I didn't know anyone there, they accepted me as a training partner for a day, and we had a great time. The next time im in KC, I will be coming back!

Josh is a very professional instructor! He sees kids , teens and adults. Check him out on Facebook to see more instructor videos. Highly trained and professional. 100% highly recommend and pricing is really fair and attire is fair as well! Would be a great birthday gift for any boy or girl , leave them with life long skills and great friendships .. price comparison between a kid getting an iPhone is like 1 year or more year of lessons. I would choose the lessons!

Joseph Lewis’ review was spot on. Don’t expect any live coaching during competition. You’re much better off with one of his students in your corner. I trained at Cast Iron, under professor Josh, for over six years and competed in multiple events while under his instruction. He never cornered me for any of my matches. Also, be careful sharing any conservative political views inside the gym or on social media. The instructor is pretty much like a progressive white liberal chick. Malcom spoke of this.. “The white liberal is the worst enemy to America.. and the black man.” Cast Iron is a great place to train for progressive libs and for conservative folks who can just zip their mouth and roll with it. This criticism will come as no surprise to those who have trained here. I wouldn’t share my experience with the training facility if I hadn’t received support when communicating with the local BJJ community in Kansas City. Apparently this is common knowledge 🤷🏼‍♂️ Throwing out three stars since the facility has many great training partners.
