Hapkido is a great martial art to learn. I've gained a lot of confidence in myself and my ability to defend myself and my kids if I ever have to. The instructor, Master McClendon, is very good at what he does. He understands how to teach and lead. He knows when to instruct and when to discipline. He does a great job at teaching at the kids level but also teaching the adults. It was watching Master McClendon teach a couple of classes for my daughter that gave me the courage to try something new and join Hapkido. I'm so glad I made the decision to join.

I started attending Hapkido classes a few months ago and am loving it! It's completely out of my norm and I was really anxious to start going, but Master McClendon and the other students went out of their way to help me feel comfortable. Everyone is extremely helpful and kind, and I learn so much from every single class.

My son absolutely loves coming to classes because Mr. McClendon is an amazing teacher. Mr. McClendon cares about his students and works with them to make them the best they can be whether is in his class, at home, or in the community. I have seen some incredible changes in my son since starting classes. I have also taken a couple of the women’s self-defense classes Mr. McClendon offers. I feel more confident in going out and knowing I’m able to defend myself because of Mr. McClendon. He makes sure the women taking his classes are comfortable doing what is asked of them and makes it fun at the same time. I highly recommend both his Hapkido classes and his women’s self-defense classes.

We had been looking for a martial arts studio that had the proper balance of confidence building and discipline that we wanted for our son. Master McClendon is an incredible teacher. He has created a place where respect and fun flourishes. If you are looking for a place to learn a list of valuable skills for yourself or your entire family, this is the place.

Excellent teachers and a very family friendly environment. Hapkido is teaching my son life skills and self-defense techniques. I like the class schedules and the flexibility. Highly recommend. There are also occasional self-defense classes for women.
