I been going here many many years since is was Prairie Life Fitness. I seen some reviews that I didn't agree with. Running a long established gym is hard. It's used 24/7. Give some slack. I talked with the Manager Sydney P. several times and she always handles any issue small or big. Nothing will ever be perfect but once the issue is identified it gets fixed. She a great manager. Those are hard to come by these days in this world. There are many gyms, but I stand by this gym for sure. Thank you Sydnee and Genesis. I highly recommend always. Easily the best gym in this area. Keep up the amazing work.

I’m just in from out of town and grabbed a free pass to this Genesis at 84th and Q for the last two days. Honestly this place is great. Most gyms feel like a total meat market or have way too much drama but this one actually feels like a real community. Everyone is just there to work out and keep it moving. The facility is super clean and they have so many machines that I never had to wait to get on any equipment which is a huge plus. The absolute best part though was the manager Sydnee. I have to rave about her for a second because she is incredibly kind and made me feel welcome right away. Plus it doesn't hurt that she is absolutely stunning. It’s rare to find a manager that gorgeous who is also that professional and helpful. If I lived in Omaha I would sign up here in a heartbeat just to see her every day. Definitely check this place out and ask for Sydnee!

Solid gym with everything you need. Equipment is well-maintained, plenty of free weights, and it never feels overcrowded when I’m there. Staff is chill, people mind their business, and the atmosphere makes it easy to lock in and get a good workout. Clean, efficient, and worth it. Shout out Cory so friendly!!

Korey was a lot of help at the front desk. Very easy going and helped my gf with a guest pass. He left no pressure to sign up but also very informative. Clean gym, lots of machines and ample space . Full court basketball court and indoor/outdoor pool put this gym in a league of its own.

This place used to be my favorite gym when it was owned by Prairie Life. Then Athletic Club/Genesis bought it and it's just a filthy dump. The staff are either rude or apathetic. The club manager walks around with a sour expression on her face ALL the time. The old "maintenance" guy with the ponytail who works in the early morning is always grumpy looking and I never seen he him cleaning or fixing anything. There is one staff member who is easy-going and nice. I think his name is Jose or Jorge. He is the only staff member I ever see cleaning. He works like a madman and it doesn't appear that he is appreciated or valued by the club manager. This whole gym needs deep cleaned. The lockerroom smells like sweaty socks. The lockers are always locked by teenagers and have mud in them. The showers have black mold and mildew growing. The sauna and steamroom are caked with grime and sludge. The fitness studio floors are never cleaned/mopped. I cannot stress that this gym has never been cleaned since the renovation. Recently, they have hired 2 women who go around and wipe down and around the machines, but that's the extent. The weight plates have always been dirty since they opened the renovation (did they come from the now closed 144th gym?). Last thing, they really should have done away with the basketball courts. They take up so much space, aren't used most of the day, and they have attracted really sketchy looking "members."
