Kendall's Martial Arts

Our kids (ages 12, 10, and 7) have grown so much since starting at Kendall’s Martial Arts. From their forms, to sparring, and just their overall confidence and respect, it has been life changing for them. My husband and I have also started doing classes, and we love it! It’s a great workout and a fun way to bond with our kids. Josh Kendall is a great weapons instructor and Alex Kendall is an amazing instructor with years of experience and several global titles under her belt. I am so grateful for our kids to be learning under her.

We absolutely love Kendall's Martial Arts. We were initially drawn to this school for its location, credentials, flexibility with schedule, and class options for young children. Our daughter, now age 7, has been taking classes for over a year and has grown significantly in her skills, confidence, and attitude. She was very nervous when first starting, but the teachers were encouraging and patient. She now learns a variety of things, including basic skills, forms, self defense, weapons, and will soon begin sparring and competition. Her instructors are skilled, passionate, and excellent teachers. The atmosphere is a good balance of discipline and fun. We have met many great people and have felt a part of the community. I highly recommend Kendall's Martial Arts for all ages and skill levels!!

I can’t recommend Kendall’s Martial Arts enough. We joined over a year ago after trying out a few other local martial arts schools, and Kendall’s just feels different. The instructors are kind and patient, but more importantly, they’re highly skilled martial artists who challenge, encourage, and truly want every student to learn and improve. It’s a family-run school, led by four-time world champion Alex Kendall along with her husband and their two kids—each of them amazing martial artists in their own right. In addition to learning the basic skills they put a strong emphasis on self-defense, bully defense, and forms. As students progress, they also have opportunities to learn weapons, sparring, and even leadership skills making it a truly well-rounded martial arts education. My favorite thing about Kendall’s is the family atmosphere. Unlike other schools, many of the parents take classes too. Whether you’re an adult or a child, starting martial arts can be intimidating. This school makes it approachable and fun. As a parent, it’s incredibly rewarding to learn alongside my kids. Not only is it a great way to spend time together, but it also gives me personal goals to work toward. Many other schools don’t offer that. Classes start at Little Dragons (my daughter started at age 3) and go up through Advanced which has several black belts. They also excel at building community and a sense of togetherness so it feels like everyone at the school is an extension of their family. The class sizes are intimate enough that I always feel like we get quality coaching. If you’re looking for a martial arts school that blends skill, encouragement, community, and a welcoming family atmosphere while still being challenging, Kendall’s is the place.
