I’ve been a member for a few years now and I couldn’t imagine training at another place. The coaches are top tier and make the most of each class with a perfect blend of instruction and movement. It is a great place to learn jujitsu.

Great experience at Savage Citizen! Visited today while on a road trip with my boyfriend from Wisconsin to Vegas and felt very welcomed. I love visiting jiu jitsu gyms and today I trained with white belts all the way to black belts. The facility is spacious, very clean and offers bathrooms with multiple showers, a cold plunge and soon to come sauna! Hope to visit again when the sauna is ready. If you live in the area and want to learn jiu jitsu or sharpen your skills, this is the place to be! Thank you for having us!

I’m from Grand Rapids Michigan and was in Omaha for the week looking for a place to train. I’ve been to jiu Jitsu gyms all over the country and this one is by far the cleanest and most accommodating gym I’ve been to. Clean showers, large clean mats, and even a recovery room with a cold plunge and a soon to be large custom made sauna. Kristy and Charles made me welcome and worked with me on areas that I need improvement. Really enjoyed my time here and wish I had a place like this at home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get into jiu Jitsu, competition or recreational.

Whenever I travel to Omaha, Savage Citizen Jiu-Jitsu is always my go-to place to train. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this is a gym run by people who truly care about their students. The instructors there are absolutely amazing. The facility is top notch! I’ve had the privilege to learn under Charles Russell and Samantha Rouelle, and Charles’s wife Kristi Russell is also a key part of the coaching team. Their combined knowledge and dedication shine through in every class. What I love most is how well structured the training is. It always starts with the fundamentals (Core Concepts), building a strong base. Then we move into the HIIT training segment, which is challenging and fun. The balance between technique and intensity is so well done. Throughout class, the instructors are walking around, offering individual feedback. And at the end of class, one of them always checks in with everyone — asks if there are questions, addresses concerns, makes sure no one is lost before we leave. That personal touch means a lot. The people there...your fellow students and training partners...are amazing too. Everyone is supportive, encouraging, and respectful, from white belts to advanced practitioners. The atmosphere feels more like a team or a community than just a gym. In short: if you find yourself in Omaha and want to train BJJ, Savage Citizen is the place. Their instructors, structure, and community make it five stars in every way. I always look forward to getting back there.

I am very new to BJJ and wanted a place to train during some extended work travel as to not lose momentum. I walked in the door right before a class and was immediately welcomed by Kristi and Charles. I was able to be safely challenged and received great coaching through tough spots. If you’re interested in BJJ and your live or are visiting Omaha you have to stop in. Thank you everyone!
