Ill start with this... I dont train... yet.... but my 3 boys do, and my fourth will to. Walter is an amazing person and an amazing instructor. Professor Walter and his team have changed my life for the better. Besides being a short traveling distance to my house, this team has allowed me to compete at a higher level and challenge me everyday to become not just a better competitor but a better person. Awesome Academy. Great instruction. Good culture. While in town for CJI2/World Masters we dropped in at Cascão Jiu Jitsu at recommendation of our head instructor at Paragon (San Luis Obispo). Unbeknownst to us, the normally scheduled class (a no gi class) was adjusted to a big annual GI-centric open mat, belt ceremony and potluck. But despite not having gi, they welcomed us in just the same and made us feel part of the family, welcoming us to rolls and lots of food after! The facilities were super nice as well. The rolls we got were very high level. I wish we could have caught an actual class, because the people I rolled with were excellent at Jiu Jitsu and I know that instruction would have been top notch! Thank you Professor Walter and the entire Cascão family for a fantastic evening, great vibes and hard-but-friendly rounds.

Awesome gym, family atmosphere, and really good technique lesson. The gym owner Mr. Cascao taught and I learned a really cool move. the team was cool, and a teammate even drilled with me after and was super open with teaching cool tricks

My husband and I were in town for ADCC and had been searching for a gym to train at and we are so happy we stopped at Cascao Jiu Jitsu. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The instruction was phenomenal, professors were helpful, and every training partner was wonderful to work with. A home away from home gym is what Cascao will become for us. Thanks again, OSS!
