If you are someone who is full of excuses, lack accountability and have commitment issues this gym isn’t for you. Professor Zumora isn’t an easy coach. If your feelings are easily hurt then you’re not ready to be part of an amazing team. If you are ready to learn, grow and develop then I’d recommend LVJJ. This isn’t your typical gym where you come in and feel ostracized or feel threatened by those that are members (we want you to come back). We will welcome you with open arms and support you from day one. You will feel like you have a family and a sense of belonging. Aside from learning Jiu-Jitsu professor Z has helped over two dozen achieve their person goals such as joining Lvmpd or other agencies. You will learn to apply Jiu-Jitsu in all aspects of life. If you are a female and are intimidated by men rest assure that professor Z has made it a point to make sure that everyone feels safe and comfortable while training.

My dad and I have been training at Las Vegas Jiu Jitsu for over a year now. We originally chose this gym because of its family-oriented atmosphere and welcoming environment for beginners. I had a wrestling background, which definitely helped me start my journey, but Professor Cresencio and Coach Sammy have truly guided both me and my dad. They lead by example, teaching us the importance of hard work, building good character, and being true to your word. As father and son, we have come so far in our time at this gym. We've learned the value of discipline, consistency, maintaining a positive attitude, and showing up for the people who show up for you. Beyond our personal growth, joining Las Vegas Jiu Jitsu has brought my dad and me so much closer. We have a 30-minute drive to and from the gym, which gives us an hour every training day just to talk and connect. That, on top of the training itself—the memories, the laughs, and the tough rolls we've shared—are things I will always cherish. If you are looking for a jiu-jitsu gym that values strong character, work ethic, and discipline while promoting a genuinely family-oriented atmosphere, I highly recommend checking out Las Vegas Jiu Jitsu.

Las Vegas Jiu Jitsu is a very welcoming gym to beginners. I’ve been training here for a couple months and feel very welcomed. The technique taught by the professors and coaches are very useful not only on the mats but for self defense in the real world. I recommend this gym to any beginners that want to start training.

Las Vegas Jiu Jitsu is hands down the best gym in the city. The atmosphere is welcoming, motivating, and truly feels like family from the moment you walk in. Whether you’re a complete beginner or experienced, the coaches take the time to make sure everyone feels supported and challenged. What I love most is that this gym is open to everyone: men, women, boys, and girls. There’s zero discrimination, just respect, hard work, and positive energy. The team culture is strong, and you can tell they genuinely care about helping each student grow on and off the mats. If you’re looking for a place that pushes you to be better while making you feel included and valued, Las Vegas Jiu Jitsu is the place to train. Highly recommend to anyone thinking about starting or leveling up their jiu jitsu journey.
