Ohana Martial Arts

Ohana Martial Arts is incredible! In my opinion, any sports program rises and falls on the coach, and Senior Master Durant is a role model and an inspiration to each student. We walked in to try the $20 for 2 week deal (which is an incredible deal), and could immediately tell this was what we were looking for. The program is built to easily step into for beginners, and the benefits are immediate. Our son started improving in focus, determination, discipline, and self-respect as he accomplished hard tasks all within the first few weeks. This is absolutely worth your investment, and the challenges and motivational talks given by Senior Master Durant is what I want my son to be influenced by. Seriously, so good!

Ohana Martial Arts instructed by Mstr. Kevin Durant is just not about the skill, but also about building character. Life skills are important in everyday life, and towards future goals. My granddaughters have grown in so many ways since joining. So very proud of them. The experience is awesome. Great group of kids and adults.

I cannot rave about this studio enough. Not only are the instructors incredibly good with lots of one on one attention, the young instructors are so disciplined and amazing! They're an amazing example. I just the two months my son who struggles with adhd and autism had shown such amazing strides in his focus, discipline and respect. Amazing experience at Ohana Martial Arts. My 8-year-old daughter has been coming here for almost 6 months and absolutely loves it, she looks forward to every class. Master Durant and his wife Mercedes create a welcoming, family-like environment where kids feel supported and encouraged. The studio is always clean, there’s plenty of space for parents to watch, and they host great special events that keep the kids engaged and excited. We’ve seen so much growth in our daughter’s confidence and discipline. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a great martial arts studio.

I am writing this review after my son was attending the Ohana Martial Arts for 4 months. My first experience with the instructor, Master Durant, was great but later it became consistently disappointing, leading my son to leaving the program. My main issues stemmed from the instructor's asking my son to attend the class on the floor for a boot camp without asking me legally to sign him up for it! Then while my son and I was leaving he asked me about paying for the class which was $100. That experience was very unprofessional! Master Durant is all about money and that is what I witnessed. Master Durant also said in the boot camp class that he could be playing Golf instead of being there instructing his class! I also, witnessed other teens teaching other kids and not Master Durant and he was too busy talking to the parents walking around! Master Durant try to be arrogant but he doesn’t have a reason to be at all! I would not recommend this so call Martial Facility at all to anyone!
