I have been bringing my daughter (8 years old) to this Jiu-jitsu school for the last 3 months. She had never practiced martial arts and sensei Dax and all the instructors have been very good at teaching her. They have a great way to deal with kids of all ages, even as young as 4 years old. This school has a large number of kids of different ages, adult classes and ladies only class. It is a family ran business and they make you feel like you are part of the family when you join this school. Attached to the Jiu-jitsu room there is another room where they teach boxing, muay thai and conditioning. I would recommend this school to anybody looking to start their kids or themselves in a martial art that will help them learn self defense and discipline.

10/10 would recommend for current Vegas residents or outside visitors looking to get some training in during their Vegas trip. I spent a week here with some friends and teammates the week of no gi worlds for extra preparations and the classes were well structured and instructions were very methodical and easy to follow along. Professor Dax is extremely knowledgeable and patient with all students so don’t be afraid to ask questions! A very cool and chill environment Indeed. I definitely plan to be back here again during my next visit!

Had a great experience training here tonight. Just landed after a 14 hour flight and wanted a place to roll, learn something, sweat a bit and most importantly meet great people. Had the pleasure of meeting prof. Daxhino’s family and felt so welcome. Highly recommend locals and visitors come and check it out. I’ll be back again for sure next time in Vegas. (Maybe even later this week!)

Came here visiting from San Jose looking to get some jiu jitsu class time in. From the onset everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Professor Dax runs a really good program and it shows in the knowledge of his students. One purple belt fixed my crab ride with a simple tip! I squeezed in a quick roll with Prof. Dax and he gave me tips on how to fix my guard recovery from open guard. Cons: Bring a little more water than you think is necessary. You will sweat a lot!

I had the privilege and honor of dropping in and training at Daxhino BJJ, a Ribeiro affiliate, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed bythe entire team and Professor Daxhino. As a visitor, I felt not just accepted, but truly treated like family. The atmosphere is built on high standards, competition focus, and a real attention to detail, which made even one session incredibly valuable. The drop-in fee is very reasonable. You can tell this gym holds its lineage and training culture in high regard. A huge shout out to Professor Anthony, whose ability to break down the connection from takedown to mount to submission was eye-opening. His perspective as a referee adds an invaluable layer for anyone serious about competition. His teaching style is sharp, technical, and full of aha moments. I also have to mention the awesome energy and support from the upper belts—Glenda, Ashley, Trevor—and my training partner Julius, who made the experience even better. My honest review: I found myself learning, sweating, and even laughing during class thanks to all the great vibes. Dropping in at Daxhino BJJ will be my furure priority. Whether you’re just visiting or looking for a home gym, this is a place where you’ll be pushed, inspired, and welcomed.
